More Excitement from Salt Lake City

Getting up yesterday morning was more difficult than usual due to the celebration the night before at the Awards Night After Party!  It was the last day of Convention 2013, and jam-packed with happenings.  I did my last two swaps and then we found out that our entry in the Stampin' Up Commercial Video Contest took FIRST PLACE from entries from all over the US and Canada!  We were all over the moon.  And now we can share it with you:

What do you think?  Amy Jasper, who is the actress in the lead role, wrote the lyrics, acted and directed the filming.  Lee Johnson, a talented but hobby videographer filmed and edited.  Desiree Spenst recorded the vocals, and Amanda Turner, Jill Buehler, Tamara Casorso and Desiree Spenst were the other band members.  The rest of us were production assistants and I made some of the props.

Stampers will know that a Big Shot is an indispensable tool for card makers and paper crafters.  It die cuts and embosses cardstock.  We choose an eighties song to parody because it is Stampin' Up's 25th Anniversary this year, being founded in the eighties.  And, of course, Big Shot and Best Shot just work so nicely!

So sad that it is all over, but I am excited about coming home and sharing all my new ideas and the new products with you!

Here's another of my swap cards, using the whitewash technique:

Rather than give you a long explanation, I will post a video tutorial on how to do the technique in the coming days!  It really is easy!

Take care now!
