Sweet and Simple

I have a Quick and Cute class this week and I wanted a design that was sweet and simple but WOW!  So I reached for my Regarding Dahlias stamp set because you can use a simple stamping technique and still have an impressive image on your card.  And I was dying to use the Pool Party Flowers in the Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper that's part of the Sale-A-Bration Rewards for spending $60.  It's stunning and sweet at the same.  I won't leave you in suspense:

• I love the combination of the Pool Party, Basic Black and Whisper White in the DSP and duplicated it in my card palette.
• I stamped the dahlia from Regarding Dahlias Stamp Set  in Pool Party and die cut the circle and the Basic Black matte with the Circles Collection Framelits .
• I added some Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon layered with some Basic Black 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon for some interest on the DSP panel.

• The sentiment is also from the Regarding Dahlias set and I inked it up in StazOn Jet Black.  I did a test stamp by lining up the edge of the wood block with a line on the grid paper, stamped the image and checked to see if the words were straight.  It's always a good idea to check whether or not the stamp has been mounted straight, especially for clear mount blocks.  Then I stamped it on the card front.  Be very careful when stamping on your card front.  Check for straight mounting, no inked up edges or middles to worry about leaving tell-tale signs, and properly inked up images before you stamp on the front of the card.
