Painted Petals for Thank You Cards

It's a quick post today, as I work to tie up a lot of loose ends so we can travel to Vancouver to see my oldest daughter and her family. I had two huge orders delivered yesterday and I had to sort them, bag them and add thank you cards for my VIPeeps - Very Important Customers!  I love making the quick thank you cards for them and so I got out my Painted Petals stamp set and Painted Blooms Designer Series Paper and got to work!

Here are some photos of Erin, Jonny and Wyatt who we will be visiting:

These photos were taken last summer and Wyatt is now almost two, so I can hardly wait to see him and get in some Grandma cuddles before he forgets me completely!

We're going to be staying at a Bed & Breakfast nearby and it is in a grand old home, so that will be a unique experience as well.

  • This card base is a notecard size, 3 1/2" x 5", so it is a little easier than normal to fill the space. I used a panel of the Painted Blooms DSP for a background.
  • The Painted Petals Stamp set, especially in Photopolymer, is so easy to use for Two-Step stamping, as you can see exactly where you are placing each image, eliminating the need for the Stamp-a-ma-jig. It also comes in Wood Mount and Clear Mount.
  • I used some of the same colours as are found in the Designer Series Paper, Wild Wasabi, Rose Red, and Blackberry Bliss for the sentiment, which is part of the Painted Petals stamp set.
  • A large Pearl Basic Jewel adds a classy finishing touch to a quick and simple but effective thank you note.
Thanks for dropping by today. See you tomorrow with another As You See It Challenge Design sample.
