Casing Krista Frattin for Global Design Project

I love the feature they have over at Global Design Project Challenge, where you have to case one of the designers from the Design Team. They are all amazing artists, but I follow Krista Frattin on a regular basis and love her style. And not only that, but she is a fellow Canadian. So I was excited when she was the designer designated for us to follow in their latest challenge:

She has a very pretty, modern look to her designs and a light touch - nothing heavy and dramatic and I've learned a lot from following her blog.

So here's my attempt at a CASE:

  • Although all the designer series paper and ribbon you see (except for the baker's twine) will be retiring, the stamp sets I've used here, First Sight and Teeny Tiny Wishes, will be available for another year in the new Annual Catalogue. The Designer Series Paper is from the Birthday Bouquet series in the Occasions Catalogue. It will be available while supplies last until May 31.
  • The two punches I used here, the Banner Triple Punch and the Scallop Tag Topper Punch, will still be around in the new catalogue, but a lot of punches are retiring, even some old favourites like the Bird Builder Punch and the scallop circles and ovals will be gone after May 31.
  • I love this colour palette, taken from the DSP  - Blushing Bride, Pool Party and Mint Macaron.
  • The Pool Party tag is stamped with an image from First Sight in Versamark for a tone-on-tone watermark look. I used Mint Macaron and Blushing Bride ink for the white tag, with the heart image from First Sight and the sentiment from Teeny Tiny Wishes.
The Winner from Guess 10 Retiring Stamp Sets Contest is Announced:
All the entries I received for the Guess 10 Retiring Stamp Sets contest did very well with their guesses. The highest score was 9 / 10 correct and three people had that score:  Lenore Hendricks, Kim Findlater and Amy-Jo Bomford. Because there was only 1 gift certificate up for grabs, those three names went into a jar and a name was drawn!  The winner was .......

Amy-Jo Bomford!

Congratulations, Amy-Jo! I will be contacting you with your prize!
