This week, Color Throwdown's colour swatch reminded me of my hanging baskets by my front door, with all these lovely pastel florals:
Such pretty colours! I chose to use Pink Pirouette, Pool Party, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron to match the colour swatch. It was a great opportunity to get out my Botanical Builder Framelits again. And, as it would happen, Freshly Made Sketches had the perfect layout for this card:
So put it all together and you get a floral cascade with a die cut sentiment:
- There's no actual stamping on this card. I used ink only to sponge the centers of my larger flowers with Pumpkin Pie.
- I made use of all the flower framelits in the Botanical Builder set when I was coming up with this bouquet. It's the uniqueness of the die cuts that make them such a good seller. They are so versatile. I used the Precision Base Plate in my Big Shot for the thinlits in the set.
- The Hello You Thinlits provided the thanks sentiment, using Pumpkin Pie cardstock, quick and easy!
- And it's back to the Subtles Designer Series Paper Stack for the background DSP here. I do seem to gravitate toward the script design a lot.
There is nothing in this design that is retiring, but don't forget that you only have until May 31 to get any of the retiring products. Don't be disappointed:
