Thoughtful Branches Bundle for As You See It Challenges

This is my last post in July and it's also a Friday and time for an As You See It Challenge. This one is another sketch challenge from Amanda and we're into some blocking. I could have gone with colour blocking, but I had a different vision instead. Here's Amanda's sketch:

I really wanted to feature the Thoughtful Branches Bundle* which will be available next week, and which you're all going to need to get your hands on, and it seemed to me that a tree die cut would work really well with the Serene Scenery Designer Series Paper Stack. What do you think?

  • I choose Bermuda Bay and Tip Top Taupe as my two basic colours and added the yellows and greens and browns from the grasses and the dotted designs. I like how they work together.
  • Figuring out the size of each panel for the background was difficult. I don't know why! I passed calculus. But what looked like it would work on paper, didn't when I cut it out, so I cut and trimmed and retrimmed until everything fit. I guess it's an art.
  • The die cut tree is from the Beautiful Branches thinlits* which is part of the Thoughtful Branches Bundle* available on Tuesday! So is the little bird. This is a really versatile set, good for any season or occasion. I think it's worth getting. You can use your coupons to help you with the purchase.
  • The sentiment is from the Thoughtful Branches Stamp Set*, which contains many great ones. Check out the flyer below to see the others.
*These links will be live on Tuesday, Aug. 2 and you will be able to order these products then.

And just a reminder that you only have 3 days left to earn a Bonus Days Coupon! For every $60 you spend before tax and shipping, you will earn a $6 coupon, which will come in mighty handy when you want to order the Thoughtful Branches products above! But they will also help you with all the wonderful products that you still need to get from the Annual Catalogue. Better get that taken care of, because I have just seen the new Holiday Catalogue and you're going to need to wipe your wish list clean to have room for all the wonderful new seasonal products Stampin' Up has in store for you!

I had my daughter and two grandsons with us for three days this past week and they were busy days, full of fun!

Gift of Love for The Paper Players

It doesn't seem possible that nine years ago two of my daughters got married with the third following within 12 months. What a time that was! But how could nine years have passed since then? Now they each have two children and established households and I have settled nicely into my role as Grandma, as you well know. This card was for my oldest daughter's anniversary and I'm quite happy with the way it turned out.

I used the Gift of Love Host stamp set which is a three step stamping technique, but I added a different third step and a new fourth step. I also stamped right onto some Designer Series Paper. The layout was based on the sketch for The Paper Players Challenge # 305:

Let's take a bit of a closer look at my design:

What's new from Stampin' Up!?? I am in a the middle of a three day reveal of the new 2016 Holiday Catalogue and all I can say is...

You really need to be a demo so you can be sharing this moment with me! Did you know that we have Prize Patrols for the demos taking part? So much fun! And I get to order from that catalogue starting in August, while you have to wait until September! How can you do what I do? It's easy, safe, fun and relatively inexpensive. It's risk-free and I don't know why everyone doesn't do it. You don't get harrassed. If you want to do the business you can, but if you want in just to get $165 worth of your choice of any current products for only $135, free shipping and 4 months worth of minimum 20% discounts. There is no catch! Mind you, once you start and enjoy those discounts and all the perks of being a demonstrator, including all the awesome people you will get to know, chances are you will want to stick around, but that is totally up to you. There is no pressure! What have you got to lose! If you sign up in August, you can add some of the new Holiday Catalogue products to your starter kit!  Let me know! Or click on the Join My Team button on the top or side menu.

There are still a few days left to earn a coupon during Bonus Days. For every $60 you spend until July 31, you earn a $6 coupon that you can use during the month of August. The more, the merrier! Because there is something coming in August that you might want to have a coupon or two to help you with:

Starting August 2, you can get your hands on this awesome bundle. Take a look at this info:

I have been saving some samples of cards made with this awesome bundle on Pinterest, because there just hasn't been time to make many myself so check out this Pinterest board.
