Five for All for The Paper Players

I have a favourite sentiment set for humour in the Annual Catalogue and it's called Five for All and I have been getting a great deal of use out of it since the catalogue came out, especially in the last two months when I've been doing Birthday Buffet classes. This is one of my favourites of all the sentiments in that set and I designed a card that made the sentiment the main focal point.

I'm using it for the latest Paper Players' Tic Tac Toe Challenge:

There are a couple of rows that would work for this challenge: The diagonal with die-cut, enamel dots and circle or the diagonal with birthday, enamel dots and blue.

  • I really love the colours in this card. I used Peekaboo Peach, Soft Sky and Lemon Lime Twist and I think they are brilliant together - soft, but perky at the same time!
  • The background DSP is from the Naturally Eclectic Designer Series Paper set and it echoes some of these same colours, among others. I picked this one design for that reason.
  • It's been awhile since I used my Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, but they really work well being both the die-cuts and the circles for the TicTacToe.
  • I discovered something that makes my life SOO much easier: Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets. Before die-cutting my shapes, I took the cardstock and lifted the cover sheet and placed the cardstock on the sticky surface. I then closed the cover and applied some even pressure to transfer the adhesive to the cardstock. Leaving the bottom protective film in place, but removing the top sheet, I die cut the shapes with the Big Shot and it worked so well. Almost better, I thought, than with the cardstock alone. Then all I had to do was to remove the bottom protective film and voila! My die cut was now a sticker and I just had to stick it where I wanted it! No mess, no fuss and so easy to use! You've got to try it for your intricate die-cuts. You don't have to worry about sticky glue messes!
  • I inked up my sentiment stamp (LOL! I laugh every time I reread it!) using Stampin' Write Markers and stamped on Whisper White. Then we have more die-cuts, as I used the Stitched Shape Framelits to die-cut the sentiment and one of the Layering Square Framelits to back it.
  • Last touch was some Peekaboo Peach Enamel Shapes from the In Colour Collection which is now retired.

We had a great day yesterday! Our church had a get together at a local beach! The day was hot and sunny, the water was warm, our kayak was willing and the friends were fun!
