Here's a Valentine for Your Guy and A New Fast Fuse Sale!

It's always so hard to know what to do for a Valentine to give to your guy, especially if they don't like things too mushy or cheesy. I've come up with one that I hope will give you some ideas without being too difficult to make. It will be a project for the Moms to do on their own at my upcoming Mom & Me Valentine class this Saturday, and features the Sweet & Sassy Framelits along with the Tailored Tag Punch.
I am entering this in The Paper Players Valentine Challenge:

Here's a closer look:

  • The background is two different kinds of Designer Series Paper. The Night of Navy design is from the True Gentleman Series in the Occasions Catalogue. The white wood tone on top is from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack from the Annual Catalogue.
  • That amazing ribbon you see is the 3/8" Night of Navy Corduroy Ribbon, also from the True Gentleman Suite. If you're going to put ribbon on a guy's card, this is one that looks acceptable to most guys.
  • The three heart were die cut from different sized framelits in the Sweet & Sassy Framelit dies and are made from 3 different materials: Gold Foil SheetsWood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack, and a retired White Corrugated Paper that I still have tons of. I sponged the corrugated heart with Soft Suede to soften the pure white glare a bit!
  • The button is also from the True Gentlemen Suite. It's called True Gentleman Buttons and I've tied some Linen Thread in it. You can tie the thread in a knot instead of a bow if you think your guy would like it better.
  • The sentiment is stamped with Soft Suede ink and is from the Truly Tailored Stamp Set and punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch, but actually, there's a little surprise here. The sentiment opens up with a narrow piece of Stampin' Dimensional on the left side (or adhesive foam strip) to reveal the inside sentiment from Bloomin' Love stamp set, set off with the two little hearts from Coffee Cafe
Do you think your guy would like a card like this?
