Corner Pop Up Card Video Tutorial

Earlier this month, I shared a fun fold card called a Corner Pop Up Card that I was using as one of the projects for my Technique Night classes. I gave very little information on how to create the card as it was posted before the class. Now that the class is done, and everyone really enjoyed making this project, I want to share it with all of my readers. I filmed a video tutorial on how to do this and you'll be surprised at how easy it is.

After I share the video with you, I will list the measurements of the cardstock used, and at the end of this post there will be a list of all the materials and tools used with links to where you can purchase them if you wish.

Here's the video:

The card is made using a card base of an 8" x 8" piece of Whisper White cardstock. It's scored at 4" horizontally and vertically, plus one of the small squares is scored diagonally as shown on the video.
You also need a 3 7/8" square piece of Designer Series Paper for the front (Nature's Poem for this)
and a 3 3/4" square piece of Designer Series Paper for the back (also Nature's Poem)
You need a 3 3/4" square piece of Whisper White cardstock for the inside right and a 3" square piece of Whisper White to die cut the circle for the front.
A 3 1/2" - 4" square scrap of Sahara Sand is needed to make the frame around the die cut hole.

Here are a couple of other views of the mechanism:

Before I list all the materials and tools used, I wanted to let you know about a new promotion for Paper Pumpkin. This is for new subscribers and it's 50% off your first month if you sign up between July 11 and Aug. 10, 2018. The regular price is $26.95 a month so if you use the promo code of BLOOM0818 as a new subscriber, you will pay only $13.48 for your first month. As a subscriber, it's easy to put your subscription on hold for a month or two or cancel altogether, so you have total control over your subscription - you're never "stuck" with it! But in all honesty, I always look forward to the surprise and fun of my next box of goodies! Why not give it a try?

Click on the links below to take you to my On-Line Store, where you can read about, look at, and purchase if you wish, the products used to make this card today.

  1. Heather, this is a good video. Your instructions are really clear and you point out the trouble spots well. It's a lovely fold too - I think I'll give it a go! Thank you.
