April's Paper Pumpkin is DistINKtive!

Have I mentioned how much I LOVE Paper Pumpkin, Stampin' Up!'s kit subscription service? No? Well, I LOVE Paper Pumpkin!! And I especially LOVE April's Paper Pumpkin kit? For this kit, the stamp set that comes with it is a DistINKtive style stamp set with a photorealistic flower:

The reason I love Paper Pumpkin so much is that it's fun, it's easy and it's beautiful! It also has an element of surprise, so that it is always exciting to open the box that is delivered right to my door by my friendly FedEx delivery guy to see what delights are in store for me this month! Is it always my cup of tea? Nine times out of ten, I love it and the odd time I don't, I come up with an alternative that I do like. And you get so much for your money! Good quality paper and embellishments and die cuts that create projects and cards that you are proud to give to anyone! I usually use mine for thank you cards for my customers, or projects for my Mom & Me classes, because they are not difficult to complete, but they look fantastic.

Take a look at the three designs I made with this month's kit. I wanted all Thank You cards so I had to change the designs a bit from the instructions, but basically I used the kit as it was intended, except instead of making a holder for all the cards, I used the material for the holder to make another Thank You card of my own design.

 This is the one I came up with using the elements of the decor for the card holder box. I had a base of Crumb Cake and used a panel of Coastal Cabana embossed using the Country Floral  3D Embossing Folder as the background. I added a smaller piece of the white corrugated paper from the belly band of the card holder box and the floral die cuts on top of it. I already had an extra sentiment with Thank You stamped on it ready to go, so I added that with dimensionals and a white baker's twine double bow with a glue dot.
