The Country Club Suite for Great Masculine Cards and More

I've been showing you a lot of the new suites in the Jan/Jun Mini Catalogue, but I haven't shown you one of the new masculine suites yet. This is a theme we thought we should have had a long time ago because golf is such a popular sport with many guys (and women) but we have it now and the suite is called the Country Club Suite and it's all based on golf.

The plaids and argyles and navy and green and gray palette lend themselves well to making masculine cards, but there are pops of Poppy Parade and Crushed Curry that brighten it up for used with anyone. Here is my first original card made with the Clubhouse Bundle, which consists of the Clubhouse Cling stamp set and the Golf Club Dies.

  • The background features the Country Club Designer Series Paper which, on one side, have golf images, and on the other side have either plaid or argyle designs.
  • The new embossing folder for this suite is the Absolutely Argyle 3D embossing folder. You can see it in action twice on this card, in Basic Gray and in Poppy Parade on either end of the Basic Gray. It's a great design!
  • The main image was stamped in Basic Gray ink and it could be coloured in using any number of methods, but I chose to just leave my image gray and white, because there are already some very strong colours on my card. That way it stands out against them.
  • The sentiment comes with the stamp set. I embossed it in White Stampin' Emboss Powder on Night of Navy cardstock and die cut it with the corresponding shield label die in the Golf Club dies set. Then I restamped the sentiment in Poppy Parade and die cut the Greatest Guy part with one of the label dies in the set and popped it up on main Night of Navy sentiment part with mini dimensionals. I surrounded the bottom with the green garland die cut.
  • The black twine comes from the Country Club Twine Combo pack. I tied it in a reef knot on the front instead of a bow.
This is not a difficult project, but is a great masculine card to send.
