Leave a Little Sparkle for Easter

I'm working on Easter card for my 6 grandkids right now. As I've maybe told you before, I don't have stamp sets right now with Easter images so I either have to do some punch art or pick some images that each child will like and turn it into an Easter card.

I started with my two granddaughters, who are 5 and 3 years old. They both like My Little Ponies so I thought I would get out my Leave a Little Sparkle stamp set for them and colour the images up with pinks, purples and blues. I have an Easter greeting from my Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set, so that will turn them into Easter cards.

  • I stamped the images and sentiments in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then used my Stampin' Blends alcohol markers to colour them. The colour combos I used were Dark and Light Pool Party, Dark and Light Highland Heather, and Dark and Light Flirty Flamingo.
  • Using the Pool Party Combo on the horses' bodies just for shading gives the appearance of a white horse.
  • I used the Dark marker at the roots of the mane and tail and blended it out with the Light marker towards the ends.
  • Wink of Stella on the flourishes, mane, tails and horn gives a magical feel to the image. I don't know if you can see it on the following photo. Wink of Stella is notoriously hard to photo.

I often think of my readers during this pandemic lock down around the world and wonder how they are all doing. It seems that we all have something else in common now besides crafting.
