Free Shipping Today Only and Au Revoir to Frosted Foliage and Frosted Frames Dies

Of course, the BIG NEWS today is that Stampin' Up! is offering all qualifying orders FREE SHIPPING today only - Dec. 11, 2019!  In Canada, a qualifying order is $65. But this is a great time to Christmas shop for the crafty people in your life, or for that special crafty person in your life - YOU! Free shipping makes a huge difference to the overall cost of the order, especially here in Canada.

The $65 is before tax is calculated, so just the retail price of the products. I will be putting in an order tonight, so message me to get in on it, or place an order yourself through my On-Line Store! Without shipping costs to worry about, you can have it delivered right to your door!! I will make sure that you still get your Papercraft Cat points and a thank you card in the mail or when I see you next! And an order will also qualify you to receive a new Jan. - Jun. Mini Catalogue and Sale-A-Bration Brochure!

I'm also hosting my Customer/Stamp Club Appreciation Christmas Party tonight and needed a treat holder:

I had these treat bags for awhile and wanted to use them and get them out of my cupboard, and besides, they're just so darn cute and perfect for a Christmas party! To decorate them I dug out my Frosted Foliage stamp set and coordinating Frosted Frames dies to use for one of the last times as they are retiring after Jan. 2.

I used the stitched inner frame as the sentiment label, which I stamped with the sentiment from the Frosted Foliage stamp set in Poppy Parade. Then I die cut the snowflake pair with the die from the Frosted Frames dies from Copper Foil mounted on the retired Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets. The pine bough is die cut from Whisper White cardstock using one of the Beautiful Boughs dies.

The pine bough was attached with a glue dot, while the snowflakes just had to be peeled and stuck!

Pretty quick and easy, but it makes a cute little treat holder!

Ciao!

You Warm My Heart for Global Design Project

A very busy week with my Catalogue Launch coming up at the end of it, so a quick post with a card for the Global Design Project's latest Challenge. It's a Case the Designer theme and the designer is one I've always admired, Krista Frattin. Here's the Challenge Banner and card to CASE.

We can choose any aspect of the card to CASE - colour, layout, theme or images. I chose colours - pinks and neutrals, and roughly the layout.  Here's my take:

  • I'm using the Feels Like Frost Suite right now to make samples for display for my catalogue launch so I chose one of the neutral coloured ones for this challenge, and paired it with Petal Pink, because Petal Pink looks so awesome with any of the brown based neutrals.
  • I used the Frosted Foliage stamp set for the sentiment and die cut it with the frame die from the Frosted Frames dies. I just die cut the top of the sentiment, then readjusted the die and die cut the bottom of the sentiment to make a narrower rectangle.
  • The ribbon is the Sahara Sand woven ribbon from the Magnolia Lane Ribbon combo pack.
  • The little bits of foliage were die cut with the Frosted Frames dies from bits of Petal Pink, Sahara Sand and Whisper White cardstock and added to the horizontal bar of cardstock and the sentiment before attaching them to the card front.
  • The pearls are coloured with the Dark Petal Pink Blends Marker, and balance the sentiment panel .

Just a reminder that there is only one week left in the Buy 3, Get 1 Free promotion for Designer Series Paper. Good until September 30. Here are the details:

Happy Stampin'

Frosted Foliage for Global Design Project

My Holiday Catalogue Pre-order arrived on Wednesday and last night was the first time I had to play with some of my new products! And so it begins - the first of many Christmas cards this season!
This one is created with my favourite of all the bundles in the new Holiday catty - the *Frosted Foliage bundle. I think it's actually the *Frosted Frames dies that I like, but matched with the new *Feels Like Frost Designer Series Paper, which I did not use here. The reason that I didn't was that I wanted to enter a challenge today. It's been soooo long since I had a chance. (Make sure you hear the whine in my voice, when you read that!!) The challenge that I decided to enter is a colour challenge by the Global Design Project.

That's why I had to use a different Designer Series Paper, because the *Feels Like Frost doesn't come any of these colours predominantly! Instead I went with the equally beautiful *Brightly Gleaming Specialty Designer Series Paper, which has copper accents in it. I chose one piece of Pretty Peacock DSP for the background, and another flip side with no copper in Mossy Meadow for the band across near the bottom.

*New Products from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue, not available for sale until Sept. 4, 2019.

  • Isn't this just sumptuous? The die cut frame (in copper to match the accents in the DSP) is from the *Frosted Frames Dies. It comes out so pretty no matter what you cut it from!
  • There is a matching middle piece you can die cut to stamp your sentiment or focal image on. Here I used a sentiment from the *Frosted Foliage cling stamp set and stamped it in Merry Merlot.
  • I added some rhinestones from the Noble Peacock Rhinestones (in Pretty Peacock) and I coloured a couple of small regular rhinestones with a Mossy Meadow Dark Stampin' Blends Marker and added them to the front.
  • I had tried other designs and layouts, but ultimately, simple worked best for this card. This will make a good design now for my Christmas Buffet Card Class coming up at the end of the month now.
*New Products from the 2019 Holiday Catalogue, not available for sale until Sept. 4, 2019.

There are only 2 more days including today to sign up for a Paper Pumpkin Subscription, in order to get this fabulous fall kit to make fall themed gift bags. If you do sign up for this, you will then be able to order an add on kit from me to be able to use your left over pieces, plus what you get in the add on kit to make greeting cards to go with the gift bags!  Here's where you can go to subscribe:

And just a reminder that I'm offering FREE SHIPPING all during the month of August so you can save on all those things you want from the Annual Catalogue before the Holiday Catalogue goes live September 4. You must submit your order through me for this to work, as it's not a Stampin' Up! promotion. Also this offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other discounts I offer such as Papercraft Cat Point redemptions.

Have a great weekend and enjoy the heat!
