Heal Your Heart Sale-A-Bration Sneak Peek

heal your heart sneak peek 1

Without a doubt, there are some beautiful designs coming up in the 2021 Jan/Jun Mini Catalogue! Today I want to give you a sneak peek of a beautiful Designer Series Paper called *Fine Art Floral, a matching acetate overlay called *Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate and a stamp set called *Heal Your Heart, that is actually one of the up coming Sale-A-Bration rewards. It has a gorgeous font and several heartfelt sentiments! You're going to love all of them!

*These products are from the upcoming 2021 Jan/June Mini Catalogue and will be available to order until Jan. 5, 2021.

Let's take a closer look:

  • I just love beautiful, artistic Designer Series Paper like *Fine Art Floral. It's a must have for beginner stampers, because it makes you look so good without a lot of effort. And this set is particularly amazing because of the designs, half of which look like real floral oil paintings!
  • One of the designs, which you see in the photo above aligns exactly with a design from the *Golden Garden Designer Specialty Acetate and together they look spectacular!
  • There is a 3D Embossing Folder to go with this suite called the *Painted Texture 3D Embossing Folder and the result of the embossing looks like a gessoed canvas or oil paint brush strokes. I've used it on the Poppy Parade card base front.
  • The beautiful font of the stamp set works perfectly with this suite, even though it's not part of it. It's a set called *Heal the Heart and it's one of the rewards from the new Sale-A-Bration Brochure. Sale-A-Bration begins in January and goes only until the end of February this year, but the good news is that there will be another one in July and August! How awesome is that!!
  • The Stitched So Sweetly Dies were used to die cut the sentiment, which was stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder.
  • So, in summary, all you really need to make a beautiful card is some of this gorgeous DSP and an eye-catching sentiment! How easy is that?

*These products are from the upcoming 2021 Jan/June Mini Catalogue and will be available to order until Jan. 5, 2021.

Wild About You on a Monday Morning

Time for me to show you my first sneak peek from the new 2018/19 Annual Catalogue, coming out June 1. You're probably going to be seeing a lot of this set because every demonstrator that attended the OnStage Events got one! My first pre-order hasn't arrived yet so I'm playing with the free sets that I got at OnStage in the meantime. This adorable set is called Animal Expedition* and it consists of these wild animal images plus some great sentiments, such as the 'Wild About You' that I've used on this card. Since I don't have any of the new DSP yet, I've used some of the Myths and Magic Designer Series Paper from the Occasions Catalogue.

  • Each image was stamped with coloured ink and then coloured with Stampin' Blends Markers. It's great that you can use your regular coloured Classic Stampin' Pads with the alcohol-based Stampin' Blends without any bleeding or running taking place. It makes for a much softer look than a black outline.
  • The sentiment, also from Animal Expedition*, is stamped in Cajun Craze.
  • The wood embellishments are from the free gift from March's Paper Pumpkin, celebrating Paper Pumpkin's 5th Birthday. Along with the Burlap Ribbon, they seemed to fit the earthy, nature-based ambiance of the card.
  • There are framelits that coordinate with this stamp set as well, but I will have to purchase these if they are available in the second preorder period.
  • Our Blends have been such an immensely popular item that Stampin' Up! is in a huge backorder situation with them. Because of this, the Stampin' Blends have been placed on the Not Orderable List until the middle to the end of May, the way it looks right now. So hang tight until then and you'll be able to place your orders.
*These products are in the 2018/19 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue and will be available June 1, 2018.
  • As you know, all retiring products, except for stamps, are available only while supplies last.
  • Each year, ALL the Designer Series Paper in the Catalogues retires, and this year is almost no exception, except for the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack, which must have been phenomenally popular, because Stampin' Up! brought it back for another year!! I've never seen that happen!
  • There are six items that are now completely sold out and two of them are Designer Series Paper Packs: Whole Lot of Lovely DSP and Delightful Daisy DSP. The other four include both Fast Fuse and Fast Fuse Refills, (so it's gone completely now), and the Fluttering Embossing Folder and the Pansy Punch.
Don't forget to get your orders in so that you don't miss out on anything that you really wanted because it's sold out! You never know what's going to go first!

Roomie Gifts for OnStage and Some Sneak Peeks

A well-loved Stampin' Up! tradition is the custom of Roomie Gifts or bringing a little treat for your hotel roomies when you are at a Stampin' Up! event. Usually you try to dress up the container a bit, because, after all, we ARE papercrafters! I made my containers this year from the Window Box Thinlit Dies, with a little embellishment on top from Dragonfly Dreams. And I used some retired oldies but goodies that I couldn't give away, precisely for this reason, on the front. One was the Little Letters Framelit Dies and the other was the recently retired Sale-A-Bration Glimmer Paper Assortment. I filled them with a conglomeration of amazing little gadgets and doohickeys that everyone needs to have (NOT) but I thought might come in handy when getting a new Annual Catalogue such as glasses cleaner wipes, post-it notes, and Cadbury Mini Eggs! And then I found the CUTEST tiny needle nosed pliers that I had to get just because they were so cute! I'm not really sure what they are good for, but they're CUTE! Here's another look at the gifts:

But I bet you care nothing about that really. What you really want to see is a sneak peek of the new Annual Catalogue! Well, the publication gag is off now so I can show you some things like the cover of the catty:

So, there it is in all it's glory! And you'll see more and more of it in the days to come as I get some of the new products and start to play with them. Suffice it to say that there is plenty of fun ahead and you'd better either start saving up, or go hold up a bank somewhere. I recommend the former! They may not let you have paper snips in jail!

We had a great time at OnStage Local in Calgary and Stampin' Up! was generous as always: Here is a photo of my loot, which includes my swap cards from the team:

(If you squint, you might be able to make out a few of the new stamp sets in there!)

Speaking of the team, here we are at two tables:

Okay, one more sneak peek:

The new In Colours:

From left to right along the top: Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, Berry Burst, Fresh Fig, and Powder Pink! What do you think?? What's your favourite?

Well, when a new catalogue comes in, old product must retire to make room for the new and this year is no exception. The Retiring List has come out and these items will only be available until May 31, and some only while supplies last, so you may have to move quickly to get the ones you want. There are also lots of deals to be had, some up to 50% off.

Here is a link to the PDF list: Canadian Retiring Products

Now, unlike previous years, this list will not be updated daily as supplies of some items run out. I will try to keep you updated, but your best bet will be to go to my Online Store and click on Retired Products. Only the items that are still available will show up in the store and they are kept updated in real time. You can see the pictures of the products and any sale prices are shown when you click on the individual products.

Here is a link to the Retiring Products in my Online Store.

I will be putting in orders fairly frequently, but if you want something that you're afraid will run out, you would be wise to order it yourself online right away.

Stampin' Up! will continue to produce all stamp sets until May 22. After May 22 all stamp sets will be available while supplies last. All tools and accessories, including paper, will only be available while supplies last starting now. That is why you will want to put in your orders for your favourites as soon as possible.

See you on Friday with a new card!

Let's Go to the Fair!

January is one of our family's birthday months. Besides me, two of my little grandsons have January birthdays, two nieces and two good friends also were born in January! So I wanted to get a bit of a head start on the birthday cards! This one is for one of the grandsons. I just love this vintage looking set with the circus tents in the background and the carousel horse in front. It's from the Carousel Birthday** stamp set and it's part of the Cupcakes & Carousels Suite** of products in the new Occasions Catalogue, which you will be able to order from starting January 4, 2017!

**New Products from the new 2017 Occasions Catalogue, available Jan, 4, 2017.

Along with the Occasions Catalogue, will be the start of Sale-A-Bration 2017, Stampin' Up!'s biggest promotion of the year, where you can earn a selection of free products just by spending $60 with Stampin' Up!

I am starting to hand out these catalogues now at events and in orders, so let me know if you'd like you'd like one and I'll make sure you get one.

The whole suite kind of reminds me of one of my family's favourite places to go when my kids were growing up - Burnaby Village Museum. They have a vintage carousel there that the girls used to love:

  • The background Designer Series Paper is called Cupcakes & Carousels DSP Stack** and I love the vintage feel of it, This design was perfect for my carousel pony and circus tents.
  • The pre-diecut label, the ombre ribbon and the Pool Party/gold Baker's Twine are all part of an Embellishment kit that goes along with this suite called...you guessed it...Cupcakes & Carousels Embellishment Kit**. This kit also contains some sequins, some mini tassels and some Pool Party paper bows.
  • I stamped the carousel pony, the tents and the sentiment in Basic Black Archival ink and colored in the tents and the pony with the Watercolour pencils**, blending them with a Blender Pen, I probably won't stop singing their praises until a least June, so prepare yourself.
  • Alas, I had to fussy cut the pony as there is no coordinating die for it, unfortunately, but it wasn't too hard and it was well worth the effort, don't you think?
  • The Stitched Shape Framelits formed the circle background for the stamped images. These are out of stock and unorderable right now, but will be available again January 16th!
**New Products from the new 2017 Occasions Catalogue, available Jan, 4, 2017.

The Order Deadline for having products here in time for Christmas has come and gone, but you can still give the gift of Stampin' Up! for Christmas! The answer is a Gift Certificate. These can be any denomination and can be used for products or classes and they come in a cute little Santa belly gift envelope. I will be here until Monday, Dec.19, depending on the weather for you to pick one up. After that, I can email a gift certificate to you and you can print it off. It won't be as fancy, but it will get the job done! Contact me by phone or text at 250-768-7379, or email me.
