Painted Christmas Stationery Case for New at SU December Blog Hop

new at su blog hop banner 1

Welcome to our December NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are featuring "anything but a card" using current products from the 2021/22 Stampin' Up! Catalogues. I'm highlighting the Painted Christmas Suite although I am making use of a number of Christmas sets as I create a beautiful stationery set for one of my downline, including standard sized cards, mini thank you cards and gift tags!

This cute case is not difficult to make and is a nice gift for a friend or relative for Christmas. It contains four standard sized Christmas cards with envelopes, four 3" x 3" Thank You cards and four gift tags.

  • If you would like to learn how to make the basic stationary case I created a photo tutorial with the measurements and instructions that you can access through this link: CLICK HERE.
  • My palette for this project is Evening Evergreen, Soft Succulent, Blushing Bride, White and Gold.
  • To make the medallion on the front of the case I used a sentiment from the Christmas to Remember stamp set, die cutting it with the Layering Circles dies and backing it with Brushed Metallic cardstock in gold.
  • The ribbon used here is the Gold 3/8" Shimmer Ribbon. I made good use of the Gold and Rose Gold 6' x 6" Metallic Specialty paper from the Annual Catalogue, both using the Sprig Punch and cut in strips for the tags.
  • Other stamp sets used were Snowflake Wishes for the Thank you sentiment, and Merriest Moments for the Joy sentiment. Otherwise, the images come from the Painted Christmas stamp sets.
  • The paper on the large cards is from the Ever Eden DSP - so beautiful!

Last Minute Gift Suggestions for Stampers in Your Family!

There are only 7 shopping days until Christmas, but there is not enough time to order any physical products from Stampin' Up! in order to get them here before the big day, but if you've left it too long, don't despair! There are still some things you can do to make your crafter happy! Here's what I can offer:

1. Gift Certificates: In any amount and I can even email you one while you etransfer me payment. They can be used for Stampin' Up! products, my retired products and classes.

2. I have only 2 left of this amazing Advent Calendar Kit called Christmas Countdown that I'm letting them go for 50% off - $20 only. It's not only good for Christmas, but the drawers turn around and can be used for other things the rest of the year! One is ready to be assembled. One is already assembled. If you live out of Kelowna, I wouldn't recommend this, as the mail is too slow to get it to you in time, but if you live here then I can deliver it to you.

3. This will work for anyone in Canada. Purchase a prepaid subscription to Paper Pumpkin for your crafter. Paper Pumpkin is a once a month creative break in a box delivered right to your doorstep with everything you need inside to make memorable stamping projects. You can get your crafter anywhere from a $28* one month prepaid subscription to a $300* year's subscription. (*plus tax & shipping) Perfect for someone who is short on time or space for crafting! Plus it is easy as pie to delay or stop your subscription once you have it. Contact me for more information or go to my Online Store to purchase.

4. If you live in Kelowna, you could purchase one of these little Christmas Stationery packs for a friend. They contain 4 Christmas cards, 4 thank you notes and 4 Christmas tags, all with the same theme. The price is $8 and I will deliver in Kelowna and surrounding area.

5. I have several little stocking stuffers and gift card holders for under $5. Message me if you see something you like.

6. Shop from amongst my many gently used retired products. If you live out of town and I have to ship the product, it will likely not make it in time for Christmas, but if you live near Kelowna, I could deliver it.

I hope these suggestions helped with the last minute panic! Happy Stampin'! Don't forget, if you steer your friends and family my way to shop for you, I'll include a small extra gift from me in with their gift for you!

If you live in Canada, and don't have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I can help you with ideas, get you catalogues and provide you with Stampin' Up products. You can leave a message in the comments or contact me using any of the methods listed in the right side bar at the top of the page. You can shop with me from anywhere in Canada by clicking on the SHOP NOW button in the top menu or going to my Online Store.
