Two things I love today: The sketch over at Freshly Made Sketches and This Little Piggy stamp set!
First, the sketch is so cool and unique. Check it out:
Way to go FMS, for coming up with fresh, new ideas all the time! I think this one was designed by Cecile! I took it pretty literally, because I liked it so much! I didn't want to mess around with something that works so well. Besides, I'm working on some Quick and Cute designs for a class this week and this seemed like the perfect fit.
- Secondly, the This Little Piggy stamp set has been a favourite of mine since I first laid eyes on it in early April, and I've been dying to ink it up since then. Would you believe this has been my first opportunity?
- Going with a palette of Powder Pink, Smoky Slate and Silver with Whisper White, I found some Silver Foil sheets to die cut with the largest scallop circles from the Layering Circles dies as the base for the cascading circles of this design. The second was one of the Stitched Shapes circles in Powder Pink and then a smaller stitched circle in the distressed white board from the Wood Textures Designer Series Paper Stack on top of that.
- I stamped Miss Piggy in Basic Black Archival ink on Whisper White cardstock and coloured it in with the Powder Pink Stampin' Write Marker, blending it a little with a Blender Pen. You can't blend it a lot, because the marker ink is so fast drying. The hooves and grass were done with Smoky Slate ink.
- The background paper, which I think suits this design perfectly, is from a beautiful set, "Whole Lot of Lovely Designer Series Paper" and this design is in Powder Pink and White.
How would you like to get $88 in free products from Stampin' Up!?? Is there anyone who would say no to that? I don't think so! You just need to be a host. Does that mean you have to invite people to your house for a party? Not necessarily, although that can be fun, too! Think "Mom's Night Out - Craft Night!" You could also host a Catalogue Party. Just distribute some of the beautiful new Annual Catalogues to your friends and collect their orders, or host a Facebook Party run by me. If the retail total of your orders reaches $400, which is easy to do with all these great products, Stampin' Up! will kick in an extra $40, on top of the 12% you normally get at that level for a total of a minimum of $88! What would you order for $88?
