Emboss Resist Christmas Tree with the Christmas Lights Bundle

Inspired by Adrienne Hughes on Facebook, I wanted to try creating one of her striking emboss resist watercoloured Christmas trees using the Christmas Lights bundle. I stamped the big Christmas tree of lights on some Shimmery White cardstock with Versamark ink and covered it with White Embossing Powder. After heat setting the embossing powder, I watercoloured over it using alternating stripes of Coastal Cabana, Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point ink mixed with a bit of water. (The less water you use, the more intense the colour!) To apply the ink, I used the large brushed water painter. I dried the ink using the Heat Tool.

To display the tree, I die cut it using the Twinkling Lights dies and mounted it on a panel of the Lights Aglow Specialty 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper with a white background.

Having just received the Deckled Rectangles Dies, I used them to cut two more panels of Coastal Cabana and Pacific Point cardstock behind these and mounted all on a card base of Bermuda Bay.

The sentiment, from the Brightest Glow stamp set, was stamped in Pacific Point ink and die cut with the Labels Aglow dies.

The card is finished off with a few Festive Pearls of Soft Succulent and Silver.
