Farewell to Lovely As A Tree Part 3

My last sample for my tribute week to **Lovely As A Tree is much less rustic and masculine. It's quite delicate and spring-like, as a matter of fact, and it may be my favourite of the three. It features the row of bare-limbed trees with added stylized cherry blossoms, thanks to another retiring Stamp Set, **Timeless Textures and an array of pink inks!

  • The pink cardstocks that I've used as mattes to my image panel are Petal Pink and Blushing Bride, which really work well together on the Crumb Cake base.
  • The trees from **Lovely As A Tree are stamped in Crumb Cake ink on the Whisper White cardstock. The splatter stamp from **Timeless Textures was used to create the blossoms using Flirty Flamingo, Blushing Bride and Petal Pink ink.
  • The sentiment is from the Colourful Seasons stamp set and is stamped in Petal Pink ink.
  • The ribbon is from the **Metallic Ribbon Combo Pack. The sequins are from the Iridescent Sequin Assortment.

All the Good Things in the Catalogue I will Miss

Continuing with my theme of the products I'm going to miss when they retire, here's one that I was so excited about when I first saw it in the current Annual Catalogue, but it will be retiring in June. It's called All The Good Things. I bought it originally because my hubby has a koi pond in the backyard and I thought it would make some great cards for him. While I made one or two good ones, I didn't use it half as often as I wanted to and I'm really sorry that it is retiring. I'm going to find it hard to part with this stamp set.

  • For this one I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured in the different areas using Pumpkin Pie, Cajun Craze and So Saffron Classic Stampin' Pads along with a Blender Pen. Using Stampin' Blends Markers would be another option.
  • Some Copper Trim adds an interesting effect to the bottom of the card under the sentiment, and I've used the splatter stamp from the also retiring Timeless Textures set to add some Copper Stampin' Emboss powder to the card and heat set it to add some copper texture.
  • The Rectangle Stitched Framelits die cut both front panels. They are one of my most often used die sets right now.
Some other cards that I made this year using the All The Good Things stamp set can be seen by clicking the caption under each photo:
