July Paper Pumpkin and Promotion

I had some fun the other night, assembling my July Paper Pumpkin kit! It will give me a much needed stock of customer thank you cards! It always seems to come along at just the right time to build up my supply! And I can just relax and watch TV without having to think too much and put them together.

July's kit is just so cute. On top of these cute 3 x 3 cards there are also some treat baskets with coordinating tissue paper:

Adorable, no? And they are easy, but not too easy to assemble from the instructions and the video you can find online. Just google July 2018 Paper Pumpkin. You can also find a Pinterest Board filled with alternate ideas for the kit if you don't happen to like the projects as they've been designed, or it you want to bump it up a step or two further.

I tried a couple of alternate designs as well, but my imagination was having a slow day yesterday! Here's what I came up with:

This consists of a full sized card using the tissue paper as background DSP and the front of one of the baskets as a one dimensional basket on the card. I just covered up the printing on the rim with the Short Brim Stickers, but more than one was needed leaving a seam showing, which I then covered up with the leaf on the apple stem,
The gift box is a Silver Mini Gable Box, undone and refastened inside out, with the white side facing out. The sides are covered with the tissue and the basket pieces are cut to look like fruit boxes which form a background for the leftover fruit pieces that I had.
After I'd finished, I thought about the Basket Weave Dynamic Embossing Folder and how I could have used that to create another alternative, but missed the opportunity.
