You're the Apple of My Eye Thank You Cards!

Here's another stamp set that took me a long time to warm up to. Apple of My Eye is cute, bold and works well with bright colours, but until I decided to mask the images so I could layer them, I wasn't really thrilled with the style. But since I love anything citrus, I gave them another try for some customer thank you cards. The stamp set has a great thank you sentiment and it's perfect for those citrusy oranges and yellows and greens.

• I used the Whisper White Note Cards and Envelopes and made up a whole batch of 20 cards, which are going like hotcakes these days. I backed them with a layer of Pumpkin Pie and then some Designer Series Paper, the lemon slices one from the Have a Cuppa and the stripes from the It's My Party Designer Series Paper Stack.
• I stamped a citrus slice on a Post It Note and punched it out with a 1 3/4" Circle punch and used it to cover the first orange slice while I stamped the lemon slice. Pull away the mask and it looks like the yellow is behind the orange.
• The sentiment was stamped in Old Olive and some Brights Candy Dots were added, or a small bow tied with Pear Pizzazz cotton ribbon.

Card Package Tutorial with A Nice Cuppa Suite

I'm not a big tea drinker, but I find myself charmed by the notion of it and so I just love my A Nice Cuppa bundle from the Occasions catalogue! I've been trying to come up with a suite of products for my free newsletter tutorial, and I decided that this bundle would be the theme.

After cleaning up from the weekend visit by two of our three daughters and their families, which included four children four and under, I found myself a titch low on energy. I was hoping to be able to complete the whole suite by blog time, but photographing each step took a bit longer and I completed only the card holder. Tomorrow, I will showcase the cards to go with it so stick with me til then.

This holder is made using an easy technique with the Envelope Punch Board, which I will share with my newsletter subscribers. It is large enough to hold approximately 8 standard sized greeting cards. Cups & Kettle Calendar Easel

Home from a wonderful weekend crafting with some lovely ladies in our second annual Winter Creative Escape Weekend. We stamped and painted and crafted and knit until we couldn't see straight, and I don't know about the others, but I am dead tired!

These are the fun ladies I hung out with all weekend!

One of the projects we did was this desk calendar in the form of an easel card, featuring the suite of products, Have A Cuppa.

• The adorable Designer Series Paper you see here is from the Have a Cuppa Designer Series Paper Stack. The colour scheme is delicious: Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo, Wisteria Wonder.
• I downloaded and printed the calendar then cut and stapled it all together. The calendar is mounted on a piece of Wisteria Wonder cardstock.
• I used the Easel Fancy Fold technique to make the card with the Post It Note Pad as the anchor.
• The Cups & Kettle Framelit Dies are to blame for that cute kettle at the top, and the new Bermuda Bay 1/8" Stitched Ribbon makes the perfect little bow at the top.
• The sentiment is from A Nice Cuppa stamp set and is punched out with the 1" Circle Punch and backed with some Wisteria Wonder cardstock with the 1 1/4" Scallop Circle Punch.
• The easel can be folded flat and fits into a medium envelope.
