I feel like I've been neglecting the products in the Annual Catalogue, in all the excitement over the Occasions Catalogue, and that's a shame because there are so many great stamp sets and designer papers in there. So today, I made a hybrid - a card that features products from both catties, products that I knew would work so well together. I've used the Typeset Specialty Designer Series Paper and the Traveler Stamp Set from the Annual Catalogue and the Timeless Textures and Going Global Stamp Sets from the Occasions Catalogue, in a vintage look with a pop of Watermelon Wonder!
I used the Mojo Monday Challenge #433 sketch for the layout:
- Whenever you want a vintage look, Soft Suede is your ink! It gives a real sepia tone to your images and it's also great for sponging. Crumb Cake will give you lighter background images when you are collage stamping, while Early Espresso will make any image into a focal point with this type of vintage design.
- Burlap Ribbon is just the thing for texture and colour for a vintage look. It's one of my favourites.
- The sentiment is from the Going Global Stamp Set and I added it using Watermelon Wonder ink to give it a valentine pop of colour in the otherwise monochromatic colour scheme.
- There are so many great images in the Traveler Stamp set and the maps in the Typeset Specialty DSP work so well with them.
