Forever Fern Newsletter Tutorial

I've been working on my June newsletter this week, among other things, and I got such a good response from my Facebook readership for the die cut version of this *Forever Fern card, that I decided to redesign it as a stamped card and make a photo tutorial of it for my June newsletter.

Each month I send out a free newsletter to my readers and I include a free tutorial in each one as a thank you for being faithful readers and subscribers. The tutorials are step-by-step how-tos illustrated by photos of every step. In addition, there is a list of all supplies needed along with measurements and quantities needed. Here's a closer look at the project:

  • It makes use of some fabulous new products that you will soon be able to purchase from the new 2020/21 Annual Catalogue from Stampin' Up! including the *Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper, the *Forever Fern distINKtive Cling Mount Stamp Set, the *Forever Flourishing Dies, the *Greenery Embossing Folders and the *Gold Hoops Embellishments.
  • The card base is the new In Colour, *Just Jade! Isn't it pretty? I think it's my favourite of all the new In Colours.
  • This distINKtive stamp set is amazing. It works so well. I had no issues with it no matter which stamp pad I used it with!
  • The sentiment comes with the stamp set, but you could use any number of small sentiments that you have on hand.
*New products from the 2020/21 Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue. Not available to order until June 3, 2020 unless you become a Demonstrator!

June Online Technique Class Details

June Online Technique Class

I was so excited to use some of the new products from the 2020/2021 Annual Catalogue when designing the June Online Technique Class. The stamp set it's built around is called Beautiful World from page 26 and it's a great masculine/travel stamp set, also wonderful for scrapbookers, especially those who like to travel, when you combine it with the coordinating  World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I will send you class packages containing cardstock and DSP, cut, punched and die cut, along with embellishments, but I'm not allowed to send you prestamped images, due to copyright issues. You will need a basic list of supplies or alternatives to complete your projects that you can find below.
The Plan
Option 1
My plan is to put together class packages like I usually do for four cards, 2 each of 2 designs, plus 1 suitcase, with all the punching and die cutting done, as well as the embellishments, etc., and give you access to the YouTube demos for $10.

Option 2
Your second option is to purchase the Beautiful World stamp set from me and you will get the class package for only $5 plus a free gift from me, some Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. If you live in my area, you can order by calling me and I can place the order for you and deliver it to you free along with your card pack. The total price will be $43.19.
If you live anywhere else in Canada, your best bet is to order the stamp set through my Online Store and use the Host Code NP7JJCVCWhen I see your order, I will mail you the card pack (so be sure to include your address on your order) and if you use the Host Code, I will include the free gift of the Gold Embossing Powder. I will send you a Pay Pal invoice for the $5 cost of the card package and the mailing cost.

Product List

                                 Option 3
Your third option is the same as Option 2, but instead of just the Beautiful World stamp set, you would purchase the Beautiful World Bundle, which include the stamp set and the coordinating World Map Dies. You would then get the card package for just the small shipping cost. (Unless you live close enough for me to deliver the card pack and then it's totally free!) Plus you would get this month's free gift.
If you live in my area, you can order by calling me and I can place the order for you and deliver it to you free along with your card pack. The total price will be $80.70.
I will send you a Pay Pal invoice for the mailing cost.

Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper Card

I am hosting a Zoom customer appreciation event on Saturday and I needed a couple of Make & Take projects for the party. The thing about a Zoom party is that the Make & Take projects have to be formatted carefully. Since I can't include stamped images in the packages, I wanted to come up with a design that would allow any stamped sentiment that would fit the banner to be used.

I am allowed to punch, emboss and die cut pieces to send in the packages, so this is where the *Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper excels! The paper actually has designs that fit the *Forever Flourishing Dies so that I could die cut some foliage to add to the wreath I created from the *Gold Hoop Embellishments.

You can see them better in this photo:

  • The card base is *Just Jade cardstock, one of the new In Colours for 2020 - 2022. The background layer is one of the designs from the *Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper.
  • The vertical panel is made from Soft Sea Foam cardstock embossed with one design from the *Greenery Embossing Folders.
  • On the *Gold Hoop Embellishment, the *Forever Flourishing Dies have die cut a variety of foliage from the *Forever Greenery Designer Series Paper which is added to the hoop with Glue Dots. The same dies also die cut other greenery from vellum, Pretty Peacock cardstock and Smoky Slate cardstock. These are also attached with Glue Dots to the *Gold Hoop.
  • The sentiment stamp is from the *Forever Fern stamp set and is stamped in Pretty Peacock ink on Whisper White cardstock.

The next Paper Pumpkin kit will be a very cool one! Not only will it be designed in consultation with our CEO, Sara Douglas, but it will also come in a special box, with extra elements left over with which to decorate the box so that you can use it to send some sunshine to someone else! Check out this video for more information:

To get in on this special Paper Pumpkin issue, you must subscribe, or reactivate your subscription by June 10, and May's Paper Pumpkin sold out long before the final subscription date, so I'd advise doing it as soon as possible! Then start saving up yellow sunshine treats to put in your box and get ready to brighten someone's day!
