Ranunculus Romance for As You See It Challenges

ranunculus romance for as you see it challenge 1s

It's time for another As You See It Challenge, this one a colour challenge with the palette chosen by me! Take a look at the challenge banner:

aysi #267
We've titled this one Soft & Muted because of the feeling I get when I look at both the palette of colours and at the banner photo.

I decided to use these colours to do some ink blending, which is soft & muted just in its execution, and it turns out, these colours blend into one another seamlessly.
I used torn paper to make the edges of a channel between which I created the blended ink area.

Then I used the various collage images from the stamp set Ranunculus Romance, to add some collage stamping to it. Finally I stamped the images of the two flowers from the same set on Basic White and coloured them with Stampin' Blends, then die cut them to add as a focal point.

The sentiment, also from Ranunculus Romance, was stamped in Evening Evergreen on Basic White. The sentiment and its backing were die cut with dies from the Tasteful Labels Dies and mounted on the card front as shown.

The card base is Evening Evergreen and is layered with Crumb Cake and Basic White.

Special Moments for New at SU January Blog Hop

new at su blog hop banner 1

Welcome to our January NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are featuring the first 2022 Sale-A-Bration Brochure products. I'm highlighting the Special Moments stamp set along with the Simply Marbleous 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.

To showcase this versatile sentiment set, Special Moments, I used the beautiful Simply Marbleous 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper as a background. Both are Sale-A-Bration Rewards this time around. Special Moments is a level two reward, requiring a sale of $120, while Simply Marbleous is a level one reward requiring only a $60 expenditure to earn it. Here's a closer look at all three cards:

  • Each card uses an outer sentiment and an inside sentiment from Special Moments stamp set.
  • The background DSP is a different colour from the Simply Marbleous 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper collection.
  • I used the Flowing Flowers stamp set from the 2022 Jan/Jun Mini catalogue to add a focal point to each card. The flowers had to be fussy cut.
  • Appropriate embellishments for each card were added. (See list of products used below.)
  • Card bases were Balmy Blue, Blushing Bride and So Saffron cardstock.

I hope you enjoyed this Sale-A-Bration project with the Special Moments stamp set and the Simply Marbleous DSP.  Now please hop on over to Jeannette Gauthier to see what she did with Daffodil Afternoon DSP and Special Moments!
