Santa Slider for The Paper Players

I'm preparing for my Technique Night classes this week and one technique we will be exploring again will be a slider card - always lots of fun, especially when Santa, himself, is doing the sliding!

I always love it when The Paper Players do a Tic Tac Toe Challenge. There are so many ways to fit in. Here's the Challenge TicTacToe board for this week:

With this card, I'm using the far left column - Red, Santa, and Diecut, although technically my Santa is punched, not diecut. However, the slot that allows Santa to move IS diecut, so we're all good!

  • Love the Candy Cane Lane Designer Series Paper! Did you know that it is Stampin' Up!'s top seller from the current Holiday Catalogue? I'm actually using two pieces here and the two layers, glued together, have enough strength to support the slider track to keep old Santa cartwheeling into town. The slider track is die cut using the Sliding Star Framelits. I took the die cut piece which would normally be thrown out and glued it in place (after raising the DSP with the track in it using Foam Adhesive Strips) so that you could still see the form of the gingerbread houses.
  • Santa is from the Cookie Cutter Christmas stamp set and is stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, then coloured in with Real Red and Basic Black Stampin' Write Markers and highlighted with Clear Wink of Stella. He was punched out with the Cookie Cutter Builder Punch, which you can buy separately, or as a bundle with the stamp set..
  • The sentiment is from the Hang Your Stocking stamp set and is perfect for that frolicking Santa we have created. Besides that, "Happiness is Coming to Town" is a great segue for...

Yes, starting today you can order your Stitched Shapes Framelits! I know I can hardly wait to get mine, although I will be waiting until I put in an order at the end of the week to get mine. They are just so versatile. Here's a video with more information:

Now what's even better is that until the end  of November, several coordination stamp sets are also on sale for 25% off! Here are the details:

Great deals, eh?  Message me before the end of the week, if you want to include your order with the one I have going in on Friday!
