This past Saturday, I went to a day long craft retreat! I love those retreats because I get so much done without Facebook to distract me! One of the cards I worked on made use of the new stamp set, Friendly Wishes, the new Bohemian Designer Series Paper and an old stamp and framelit set, Flower Patch and Flower Fair. I used the layout from Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #188, which you can see here:
- I love the vibrant colours of the Bohemian DSP and I echoed them in the ink I used for stamping. Rich Razzleberry and Blackberry Bliss, Crushed Curry and Delightful Dijon, and Bermuda Bay and Island Indigo.
- I stamped the middle flower on the sentiment panel as well as the flowers on either side with just the larger solid image. I then hand snipped the bottom of the panel around all the petals. I separately stamped the two step images of the yellow and blue flowers and die cut them with the Flower Fair Framelits, then added them on either side of the Rich Razzleberry flower using Stampin' Dimensionals.
- Just a little hint for stamping those large solid images using the photopolymer stamps. You'll have greater success with a full solid image if you use a Stampin' Pierce Mat underneath your card stock.
- The little bow is made from Island Indigo 1/4" Cotton Ribbon.
Just one more sleep before you can order from the new Annual Catalogue and still get items that are retiring. Don't be disappointed!
