An Illuminated Easel Card for 9 Weeks of Christmas

How was your weekend? Mine was lovely.  I managed to find some time for some shopping and lunch out with my hubby.  Then we went to see the movie, The Hundred Foot Journey.

Such a charming and heart-warming story!  If you haven't seen it yet, you must!  Other than that, I had some fun down in the Craft Cave creating an illuminated easel card for my series of Christmas newsletters. I call it the 9 Weeks of Christmas.  It should have been the 12 Weeks of Christmas, but I couldn't get it together soon enough!

The Nine Weeks of Christmas Newsletter

I collaborated on it with my up line and sidelines and so there is a nice variety of projects, including cards, gift boxes, bows, gifts and Christmas decor.  Let me give you a sneak peak at one of the projects:

When you see it like this, it looks like an ordinary card, yes?  The only unusual thing about it is the hole with the embossed vellum covering it.  But when you open it up and bend it a bit, you get a bit of home decor that could sit on a table or a shelf with a little electric tea light (votive candle) behind it! (NOTE: Do NOT use a real wax tea light! lol)

I used two stamp sets for this card.  One is Mingle All the Way (don't you just love that title?) and the other is Endless Wishes.

And to learn more, you must sign up to be on my email list!  It's FREE and it's fun! The first issue of 9 Weeks of Christmas goes out tomorrow, so you'll want to act right away!

In other and bigger news, today is the first day you can order from the new Holiday Supplement.

Beginning this morning , you will be able to start ordering from Stampin’ Up!’s Holiday Supplement. This pamphlet contains a small selection of supplies meant to supplement this year’s Holiday Catalog. It contains some exciting kits, new Project Life products and some really cute stamps. All items will be sold “while supplies last” so you won’t want to miss out.

To access the catalogue, please call or email me and I will get one to you, or click on the cover photo above to get the on-line pdf.

  2. Sure! Good idea. It fits right in with the theme of fun folds for Christmas.
