The Eclipse of an Old Favourite

Everyone is fascinated with the Eclipse Technique and my customers are no different. I'm in the midst of preparing for a huge class and one of the techniques I'm teaching them is - you guessed it - the Eclipse Technique! And to do that, I'm using an old favourite stamp set - the venerable elder of the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue, Lovely as a Tree! I gave it an autumn feel by using Copper Stampin' Emboss Powder and 1/4" Copper Trim.

Here's a closer look:

  • I stamped the multiple tree image from Lovely As A Tree in Early Espresso on Very Vanilla, then used the splatter image from Awesomely Artistic to emboss the splatters in Copper, and then stamp the same image in Perfect Plum.
  • I used the smaller splatter image from Timeless Textures to stamp some Peekaboo Peach splatters over all of that, for some really autumn looking trees.
  • The sentiment from Thoughtful Banners is also embossed in Copper.
  • I used the Large Letter Framelits to die cut the word WISH and remount them using Mini Dimensionals after gluing black cardstock to the back of the Very Vanilla Panel so it shows through where the letters are die cut.
  • I like this unusual colour scheme of Perfect Plum, Peekaboo Peach, Early Espresso and Very Vanilla.
