Merry and Thank You with Seasonally Scattered

Yesterday was my marathon Christmas shopping day, but I needed to combine that with some product deliveries.  And before I could leave, I needed to make some thank-you cards to include with the orders.  My Quick and Cute ideas here are easy for you to make, and more importantly, duplicate! I used the Thanks and the Merry images from Seasonally Scattered for the heat embossed centers.

I had a very productive shopping day and I'm almost done my shopping except for the stocking stuffers, which I find the most fun to buy and give, usually neat little gadgets and puzzles! With my grandkids more aware of Christmas and excited about the presents, I'm afraid I may have done some spoiling, but I haven't had that much fun in forever!

Just before I left the house, my doorbell rang and it was my Man in Brown (Mr. UPS) with another order delivery.  Because one of my customers to whom I was planning on delivering a small order yesterday had some more product in the recently arrived box, I opened up the container to find this....

A GLITTER ERUPTION!!!!
Oh, my goodness!!  There was glitter everywhere!  A package of silver glitter had been broken en route and had vomited glitter all through the box!!

I had no time to clean it up then, so I have a big job ahead of me today!  In the meantime, there is glitter all over my Craft Cave!  It's in the carpet, on my chair, on my clothes, in my hair, on my face!

I apologize to my customers.  As hard as you try to clean it all up, it is pervasive.  I'm sure you'll find some festive joy scattered somewhere in your order.

You should know that Stampin' Up! is very good about replacing faulty goods and will be sending the customer who ordered the Silver Glitter another package ASAP straight to her door.

  • For these Thank You and Greeting Cards, I used the Notecards and Envelopes which come together in a package of 20 cards and envelopes.  At 3 1/2" x 5", they are just the right size for little expressions of thanks and festive greetings and they come in Whisper White and Crumb Cake..
  • The design is simple but attractive and very easy to put together.  All the panels are 5" long so they can simply be matched up with the ends of the cards, which makes getting them straight so much easier.
  • Both sentiments from the Seasonally Scattered stamp set were heat embossed with coloured embossing powder, Cherry Cobbler for the Thank You card and Pool Party for the Merry card.
New weekly deals for this week until December 15:

There's a new Photopolymer stamp set released today.  It will be a must have for Valentine's Day!

It's called Snuggles and Smooches! It is item # 140326 and it is $19.95 in Canada.

Christmas Customer Appreciation Party

Well, yesterday was my Christmas Customer Appreciation party for my Stamp Club and downline. We had a great time and now that it's over I can show you more of the decor and treats I made for my crew!

These are the goody boxes I showed you yesterday, but what you didn't get to see then, because I didn't want to spoil the surprise, was the gift I made for my Stamp Club members, using the All is Calm Snowflake Embellishment and earring hoops from Walmart.  They have a Rhinestone Basic Jewel in the middle and they can be coloured with Blendabilities, should the recipients so chose.

Here's the table all set up with the Frosted Sequins scattered on the tablecloth.  I got that idea from my Upline, Desiree Spenst.

A sampling of the food we had to eat!  Ouch, but that red pepper jelly was HOT!  And I did bake the Butter tarts in the background (but not the cupcakes. Sorry ladies!)

Here are some of the ladies proudly showing off their 3D stars - one of the Make and Takes last night.  We used 6 squares each of the Under the Tree Specialty DSP to make them.

Then there were games:

It's a stamping race with hands in oven mitts! Hilarious!

And here were some of the prizes:

You might be wondering what Stamp Club is all about.  Members typically attend my Technique Nights at the beginning of every month, and learn new techniques and all about new products from Stampin' Up!  They commit to order $20 every month and then are assigned a month. In that month, they will win the free Stampin' Up! products from the Hostess Awards earned from the orders of all the other members. It's a good way to build up your stampin' supplies gradually without breaking the bank! It's also a great way to get to know others who share your love of papercrafting.  Check out more of the detail here.  I happen to have a couple of spots coming up, so email me if you would like to take one of them.

Before the party got started, I was able to squeeze in the streaming of the Occasions Catalogue Kick Off!! Oh, my goodness, there are so many good things in store for you!!! I will get to preorder some things on Friday, the best thing about being a Stampin' Up Demonstrator. So in a couple of weeks, I will be able to create some projects with new products and share them with you.  So excited!!!
Here's what the cover looks like:

That bouquet you see on the cover is a Kit that you will be able to order in January!  So beautiful!
So hang on to your hat, and you will find out more as the month progresses.

See you tomorrow with a new As You See It Challenge!  Oh yes, and I would like to thank The Paper Players for selecting this card last week as A Cut Above.

Fun at the Stampin' Up! Canada Fall Conference in Abbotsford

This past weekend I travelled down to Abbotsford to take part in one of the BC Fall Conferences put on by Stampin' Up! Canada!  My buddy Terry and I had a great time.  What I liked so much about it was the chance to get to know fellow demonstrators from around BC.  When we are at big events like Convention each year,  we often only run into fellow Canadian or BC demos by accident, but this was a great opportunity to get to know others in our area of Canada!  Dale Hampshire, Stampin' Up!'s Canadian Manager, or Canadadale as his email address has dubbed him was so much fun with his game shows and Halloween treats that the atmosphere was casual, enjoyable and more like a big card class than anything.  We did some great Make and Takes and had the opportunity to win tons of loot!  Here's my take for the weekend:

I was the lucky winner of the Grand Prize at one session of Friday's Product Playground.  I also was a volunteer at several sessions.  Here are some of the Make and Take projects I helped with:

I hope we get to do this again next year!

I wanted to quickly share with you the last card from my Creative Escape retreat last weekend:

I saw a similar idea on Pinterest, and I had to try it out.  A Gingerbread House!  I just used some Soft Suede cardstock and cut out a house shape and used the Scallop Edge Border punch to create the scalloped roof lines from strips of Soft Suede!

I hope your weekend was as much fun as mine!
