Welcome to our March NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are casing the 2021/2022 Annual Cataloge but using Jan/Jun Mini Catalogue products. I'm highlighting the Artfully Composed Suite to case a design from page 77 in the Annual Catalogue.

Above is from page 77 in the Annual Catalogue.

This is my design using the Artfully Composed Suite to case the card above.
I cased the layout of the card on page 77 but changed the colours and the stamp set, using the Artfully Layered bundle to create the images on the front panel. Here's a closer look:

The 4" x 6" card base is covered with a Pale Papaya design from the Artfully Composed Designer Series Paper. The image panel is backed by a piece of Pale Papaya cardstock die cut with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies. Behind that is a piece of the Vellum Layering Designs that comes with this suite.

On the Basic White cardstock of the image panel, I've added images from the Artfully Layered stamp set using Pale Papaya, Soft Seafoam, and Sahara Sand ink. Then I embossed a series of the little leaves in gold embossing powder.

After that, I added several die cuts from the Tropical Layers dies, using Pale Papaya, Granny Apple Green and the Vellum Layering Designs again.

The sentiment is from the same bundle and is embossed on Granny Apple Green using white embossing powder. I used the Banners Pick a Punch to create the arrow shape for the label and backed it with two kinds of ribbon: a strip of the white frayed ribbon and a loop of the Pale Papaya Open Weave ribbon. The Faux Sea Glass embellishments are the final touch.

Flowering Tulips for As You See It Challenge #270

flowering tulips for aysi #270

Welcome to another As You See It Challenge sample today! This time our challenge is a Theme Challenge, with the theme of Spring Flowers. And when I think of spring flowers, tulips are the first image that 'springs' to mind! (See what I did there?) Although I've used the Tulip Dies from this bundle, this was the first time I inked up the Flowering Tulips Photopolymer stamp set. a two step stamping process set. I decided to go with a purple/dark green palette using Gorgeous Grape, Highland Heather and Mossy Meadow. The Flowering Fields Designer Series Paper has one design with a watercoloured purple wash so I used it as a background.

Here's the Challenge Banner:

Here's how my sample turned out:

  • On a Mossy Meadow card base, I added a piece of the Flowering Fields DSP.
  • I stamped the larger dark outline of the tulips first in Gorgeous Grape ink. I use the dark ink first because it is so much easier to then line up the smaller inner filler stamp using a lighter ink, Highland Heather. Not only can you see through the lighter ink more easily, but also the dark ink is easier to see as you're looking through the stamp and find matching points to line up with.
  • I stamped the stems and leaves in Mossy Meadow, using both large and small leaf images.
  • I die cut the image layer using the Stitched with Whimsy dies to add the border.
  • The sentiment is from the stamp set as well, and I die cut it using the stitched scalloped circle die from the Tasteful Labels dies.
  • I had a piece of Mossy Meadow Braided Linen Trim that was retired that I used to add a bow above the sentiment. I also added the Brushed Brass Butterfly embellishments.
