Paper Pumpkin Time Again

I wanted to catch up with some of my Paper Pumpkin kits and to show you how the quality of the kits has been upped a notch by Stampin' Up!  Today I'll show you the January kit.

It was a squeeze to get all three samples in this photo.  There are only three here because my hubby used the other one to make me a birthday card!  Yes, he did!  (So proud of him!)  There are no real instructions, but a lot of different elements to add and a little stamping involved!  The danger is the temptation to add too many elements to your card.  You have to keep reminding yourself that less is more.  I'm not sure I totally succeeded in that.

  • Although the instructions do tell you to use the kraft side out, the printed insides were just too gorgeous to keep to the inside, so on this one, I let the kraft peek out the die cut triangles and added some interest by sticking some of the hearts in those areas.
  • I used the border stickers to create very skinny banners at the top.
  • I added the hung up cute clips from my own supplies.
  • The doilies are interesting additions to the very geometric shapes otherwise provided.

  • I really like the way this one turned out, with the Calypso Coral peeking through the arrows.
  • There are such a variety of banners, tags and stickers - something for everyone!
  • On this sample, I added some stamps from Off the Grid and Gorgeous Grunge, as well as the Love and the Arrows stamps that came with this set.  I stamped them in Calypso Coral, Basic Gray, and Coastal Cabana.
