So, I've known all week that this As You See It Challenge was coming up and I was stressing about it big time. Not only is it Speed Stampin where a card has to be created within 10 min. but it is Speed Stamping in Shades of White!! What shades? We only have Whisper White! So in stress mode, I processed the problem all week and I came to two conclusions: texture would have to take the place of different shades... and it was necessary to use a neutral like black to stamp with.
- I think I kind of like it! It is simple, as it must be for Speed Stamping, but quite effective.
- I die cut the oval in the front panel using the Ovals Collection Framelits and then dry embossed the panel using the Woodgrain Embossing folder.
- I looked for a stamp set that would fill the oval and found Cheerful Christmas! This stamp fit perfectly!
- I free-handed the holly leaves from vellum, which I think can constitute another shade of white and attached to the card face with glue dots. I covered these up with Rhinestone Basic Jewels and added a few more to the sentiment. I believe we could also categorize Rhinestones as a shade of white, don't you?
And that 's all there is to it! You could do something like this, couldn't you? Why not give it a try over at As You See It Challenges.
