Anyway, the As You See It Challenge this time is a Fill In the Blank Challenge. Here's the banner:
The name of the challenge is Using Spaghetti to Craft! You're going to have to go to the challenge site to find out what that is all about!
By the time I got to making my card, several of my favourite items were already taken by my teammates, so I chose to fill in the blank with:
"embossing and layering dies" which the Sophisticated Sled die set contains several of. Look at the sled and the skates closely in this photo.
You can see the embossing on the sled wood and the layering on the skates. I also coloured in the foliage on the swag with Stampin' Blends Markers, which are also favourites, but someone else used that idea!
Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving to my Canadian Readers this weekend and hopefully I'll feel more in control by next challenge!
If you live in Canada, and don't have a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, I'd love to be yours. I can help you with ideas, get you catalogues and provide you with Stampin' Up products. You can leave a message in the comments or contact me using any of the methods listed in the right side bar at the top of the page. You can shop with me from anywhere in Canada by clicking on the SHOP NOW button in the top menu or clicking on any of products below from my Online Store.
This is SO beautiful! I can see why the embossed and layering dies are a favourite of yours. The composition, colour balance and layering in this card are just perfect... it almost makes me wish we had a winter Christmas so I could justify buying this set!
ReplyDeleteI have just opened this bundle and am totally into it right now - so this card is going on my pin board lol! I love the way you combined the elements into a little festive scene Heather and totally agree - the embossed detailing is fabulous! I hope your Thanksgiving was as wonderful as you!
ReplyDeleteA beutiful card Heather i love it. My card for the challengeI now indeed see that I did not use my link but that of the challenge. I have mild concussions, which causes a lot of headaches and I can't think very clearly, as it turns out. Sorry about this.
