Stampin' Up! Cinema for the Aug/Dec Mini Catalogue!

It's time for a trip to Stampin' Up! Cinema again! We haven't seen much of what some of the new products can do since the new Aug/Dec Mini Catalogue came out and today seemed like a good day to treat you to that! Have you got your popcorn and your Milk Duds or your Twizzlers ready to go:

First we're going to hear from my favourite Home Office guy, George, introducing the Poinsettia Place Suite:

They are really short and sweet these days aren't they? Well, that Poinsettia Place Suite is really sweet as well:

Right?

Now this is one suite that I didn't get - Heart Warming Hugs! But Holly makes a compelling case for this Suite!

That does look heart-warming, actually, all-over warming! Now our last video today is showing us the joys of the Snowflake Splendour Suite:

Although I just got the stamp set and dies and haven't had a chance to use them yet, I did use the DSP and the Glimmer Paper on this project.

That's all the videos Stampin' Up! has for this catalogue! I guess they're leaving it up to the demos. I know that I have to get moving to make some more samples for you before my Catalogue Launch September 5th! I hope you're going to attend that online. You can register for that HERE. There's Games, Great Prizes, Samples to look at, Shopping my Retired Products, Make & Takes, Safe Snacks and just a chance to hang out with others who enjoy stamping and papercrafting over Zoom! It's going to be a lot of Fun!! Did I mention that it was
FREE!

Hope to see you there!

Wishes & Wonder for New at SU Blog Hop

Welcome to our NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are showcasing the new 2020 Aug/Dec Mini Catalogue and all it's beautiful new holiday products. I am using the Wishes & Wonder Bundle to create a card and 3D candy or treat holder that go together and I think you'll have fun with the two projects.

  • Those stately reindeer look like they are just waiting to be hitched to a sleigh so after featuring one of them on my card front, I had to make a 3D project using the Mini Curvy Keepsake Box to support the sleigh.
Let's take a closer look at the card first:

  • On a Crumb Cake card base I used a card from the Wonder of the Season Memories & More Card Pack for the back ground. It was a 4" x 6" card so I had to cut the length down to 5 1/4". It worked better than any of the paper in the 'Tis the Season DSP because of the gold in it, which complemented my design.
  • I die cut a rectangle of the Wonder of the Season Specialty Designer Series Paper with the Stitched Rectangle Dies and then used one of the Stitched So Sweetly Stitched Scalloped Rectangle dies to die cut a frame for it in Gold Foil. I used the same Gold Foil Sheet to die cut one of the reindeer which I added to the card front using dimensionals and mini dimensionals.
  • The two sentiments, or rather the sentiment and the medallion were stamped on Whisper White with Versamark Ink, and heat embossed using Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. The lower sentiment was just cut out on a strip and glued to the card front using Stampin' Seal.
  • The medallion was die cut using dies from the North Pole Wonder Dies, including the backing in Real Red and some Shaded Spruce Argyle ribbon was added using Stampin' Seal+. The Medallion was attached to the card front with dimensionals.
  • I made a Curvy Keepsake Box from Crumb Cake cardstock. (So easy!) It is perfect for a couple of Hersey Kisses inside.
  • I heat embossed the sleigh image twice with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder on Real Red cardstock and die cut with North Pole Wonder dies. Then the die cut sleigh were attached to the Curvy Keepsake box using Stampin' Seal+.
  • Two more reindeer were die cut using the same set from Gold Foil sheets and set upright on Crumb Cake cardstock using Glue Dots on their feet and a strip of Foam Adhesive strip to help prop them up on the wrong side, near their feet.
  • I stamped the fir tree from the Winter Woods stamp set from the Annual Catalogue and die cut it with the coordination In the Woods dies and set it upright in a similar fashion.
  • I used the Gold Cord from the Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack as reins around the necks of the reindeer and tied to the handle of the Curvy Keepsake box.

I hope you enjoyed my project with the Wishes & Wonder Bundle. Now please hop on over to Aneke's blog to see what's new with SU in her world:

The wait is over! The 2020 Aug/Dec Mini Catalogue goes live today! And not only that, but with it, you get a brand new shopping experience in Stampin' Up!'s new Online Store site! We think you're going to love it for these reasons:

* All-new design and shopping experience.

* More intuitive navigation and product organization logic.

* New filter and sort options.

* Improved photography and product display.

* A much improved, mobile-friendly shopping experience.

* A simpler and easier checkout process.
* Inventory Status Report integration (i.e., customers will have a quick, visual indication regarding the inventory levels of any product).

And the good news is that it's already been tried and tested in the UK for several months and they worked all the bugs out for us, so the transition should be fairly smooth.

What you need to know and do:
If you have an account, your password and information will still be good, but if your computer has stored the password for the site for you, your computer won't recognize this as the same site. Wishes & Wonder Bundle Preview

wishes and wonder bundle preview

On Monday, I showed you one of the bundles and several of the other products from the *Wonder of the Season Suite from the up-coming 2020 Aug/Dec Mini Catalogue, which you will be able to order from starting Aug. 4! Today, I'm going to show you the *Wishes & Wonder Bundle, the second of the two bundles that comes in that suite. As always, when I first make a card with a new suite, I want to try everything at once, and it's a struggle to keep it down to a dull roar. (I'm not sure I succeeded.) Well, at least you'll get to see lots of product!

*These new products are not yet available for sale until the 2020 Aug/Dec Mini Catalogue starts Aug. 4/20.

  • I used another piece of the *'Tis the Season 6x6 Designer Series Paper on a Shaded Spruce base. Then I stamped and die cut images, using the *Wishes & Wonders stamp set and the coordinating dies, *North Pole Wonder Dies. The sleigh was stamped in Cherry Cobbler and then I used the Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends Combo Pack to colour it in more.
  • I really wanted to try both reindeer - the simply die cut/embossed one and the stamped and die cut with outline die. The stamped one was stamped on *Gold Brushed Metallic cardstock with Versamark ink and covered with Gold Stampin' Emboss powder, then heat set with the Heat Tool. They are not the same scale, but I was imagining one of them as a male and one as a female, being a little smaller. I really like the look of them stamped on that brushed metallic cardstock.
  • I die cut the North Pole medallion from the *Wishes & Wonder stamp set after stamping it in Shaded Spruce and mounted it on a backing medallion from the *North Pole Wonder Dies.
  • The *Shaded Spruce Argyle Satin Ribbon is from the *Wonder of the Season Ribbon Combo Pack and it's used here almost like a runway for the sleigh.
  • The mistletoe die cuts are fun to play with. They are from the *North Pole Wonder Dies as well and there is a fun little combo die that lets you cut all the berries you need at once, with differing sizes to boot!
  • The sentiment, stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink is from the *Wishes & Wonder stamp set. And I used the *Wonderful Gems to add a little sparkle to the project.

*These new products are not yet available for sale until the 2020 Aug/Dec Mini Catalogue starts Aug. 4/20.

I had fun with all the new products, but next time, I would definitely simplify! I hope you enjoyed seeing the new stuff in use! What did you like the look of.
