Dear Blackberry Bliss! It's been too long! First there was fall and all the oranges and reds, then Christmas with red and green or blue and green! Finally, I am able to see you again and what a delight it is! As I was thinking of a colour scheme for my Freshly Made Sketches entry this week, I spotted the Park Lane DSP in my cupboard and immediately thought of Blackberry Bliss, Sahara Sand and a little Old Olive thrown in for good measure! Then I saw a new stamp set I hadn't yet used, Indescribable Gift, and felt in the mood for some good ol' Blendies colouring.
Here's the sketch from Freshly Made Sketches that I was working with:
Such a cute layout and perfect for Valentine's Day!
- There is no Blackberry Bliss Assortment of Blendabilities, but as you can see, the Rich Razzleberry Assortment works well because of the different shades. I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black and started with the darkest shade of Rich Razzleberry first and worked toward the lighter shades. Once coloured, I used the ecutter to cut out the blossom image.
- There is also no Sahara Sand Assortment so I used a regular Sahara Sand Stampin' Write Marker for the trunk.,
- The heart and the sentiment are from the Groovy Love Stamp set and the sentiment is die cut with the coordinating Bitty Banners Framelit. I used my ecutter to crop the heart which is just slightly too large for the Sweetheart Punch.
- The Sahara Sand Lace Trim is from the Occasions Catalogue and the Blackberry Bliss Velvet trim is part of the Artisan Embellishment Kit in the same catalogue.
And that's a wrap for Thursday! See you tomorrow with another As You See It Challenge!
