Gears & Textures for As You See It Challenge #381

Our Teamie, Jan, came up with a stunning colour palette for our latest colour challenge! It's unusual, but really grabs your attention! We've allowed an exception for this one colour challenge in that you can feel free to use as much black, white, or metallics along with the challenge colours as you like. Here's the Challenge Banner:

Now, here's how mine turned out, using the Gears & Textures Bundle!

• I started with a Basic Gray card base, cut at 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", and scored at 4 1/4" on the long side.
  
• I cut a 4" x 5 1/4" piece of Silver Foil from an old Silver Foil Specialty Pack, and ran it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine with the retired Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder. It seemed to give the right vibe for this project.
• I cut a 3 1/2" square piece of Basic White cardstock and backed it with a 3 3/4" square piece of Smoky Slate cardstock. I stamped several of the texture stamps from the Gears & Texture stamp set, using Azure Afternoon, Basic Gray and Smoky Slate ink. Then I adhere the two pieces of cardstock together and onto the card front as shown.
• I die cut several of the gears from the 3 colours of cardstock and arranged them as shown in the photo. I used either glue or black mini dimensionals to adhere them to the card.
• For the light bulbs, I die cut the bulbs from Smoky Slate and stamped the elements on them with Basic Gray. I die cut the larger size bulbs from Basic Gray, the glued the smaller bulbs onto them. The wires hanging them were drawn using a ruler and a Stampin' Write marker in Basic Gray.
• I used a silver Adhesive Backed Metallic Gem on the center of the smallest gear in the middle of the lower stack of gears.
• The sentiment is from Nature's Symphony. I stamped it in Azure Afternoon ink on Basic White and trimmed around it, so as to take up as little space as possible, then mounted it with mini dimensionals as well as a strip from the side of the mini dimensionals.
