One Colour "One"der for The Paper Players

This week, The Paper Players have a monochromatic, clean and simple challenge going on!

Even though I have to work a little harder at clean and simple, I'm all over monochromatic!  I decided to work with shades of green for this one.

  • I'm featuring shades of green for my monochromatic colour scheme, specifically Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive.  I was happy to find some DSP in the Sweet Taffy Designer Series that was monochromatic green as well.
  • I used the Flower Shop stamp set and chose this image for the focal points because it reminded me of one of the Parklane DSP designs, which was my original inspiration.  I decided against using the Park Lane design because it was too busy with the rest of the card.
  • I also used Work of Art and Gorgeous Grunge for the background and inked up the stamps in either Pear Pizzazz or Old Olive.  The sentiment is from Work of Art as well.
  • A little Linen Thread and some rhinestones coloured with Old Olive Blendabilities, and we're good to go!!
The title of this post reminded me of a movie from the 1990's called "That Thing You Do"!  Do you remember it?  It came to mind when I wrote the title because the characters were playing the members of a band called "The Oneders" (pronounced Wonders) as their one hit song rose in popularity.  Here's a little clip from the movie:
