Celebrate Today for Mojo Monday

I hope you survived yesterday's post!  It was just too full of information, because it was a busy day! The Occasions Catalogue went live, Sale-A-Bration started, and there were new Weekly Deals and a challenge deadline! Phew! Now I want to take it a bit easier on you.  I want to show you a new stamp set from the Occasions catty that I used for the Mojo Monday Challenge this week and tell you a little more about Sale-A-Bration!

(And just between you and me, although I love this promotion, as a blogger I get mighty tired of typing Sale-A-Bration hundreds of times during the three months it spans.  Seriously, Stampin' Up! - could you rename it Stampin' Savings or something that doesn't have dashes and a couple of hundred upper case letters?  PLEASE?)

This week's Mojo Monday Challenge #379 is a charming little sketch that looks like this:

Thanks, Julee Tilman! And this week, I learned that one of my friends gave birth to a little girl, and I wanted to make a baby card to send. This seemed the perfect sketch with which to use the new Celebrate Today stamp set from the Occasions catalogue:

  • The Celebrate Today Stamp Set consists of balloon stamps, and because it's photopolymer it has two step detail stamps for inside them.  There are a couple of banners, a basket to make the balloon into a hot air balloon and some streamers and a tail and bow for the balloons.  The sentiments cover birthdays, weddings, babies and graduations so it is a versatile set for this time of year. Better yet you can bundle it with the Balloon Framelit Dies and save 15% off the total if you bought each separately, and you can die cut the balloons and the banners and the bow!
  • There are no dies for the Celebrate sentiment, nor the baby sentiment, but here I used my ecutter again and I love the results!
  • Notice that Calypso Coral Pompom Trim? That's one of the many unique embellishments you're going to find in the Occasions Catalogue. It was perfect for this card!
  • The DSP is from the 2013-15 In Colour Designer Series Paper Stacks and from the Lullaby Designer Series Paper collection. I really like the colour combo of Whisper White, Crisp Cantaloupe, Baked Brown Sugar, Pistachio Pudding and Calypso Coral. The pastels and neutrals are generally a good way to go for a baby card. This baby is a girl, but if it was for a boy I might have switched the Crisp Cantaloupe and the Pistachio Pudding wherever it occurred in the card.

Now, on to Sale-A-Bration! There are three ways to earn free products from January 6 - March 31, 2015.  You can  #1 - SHOP,  #2 - HOST and #3 - JOIN.  All four letter words, but only the best kind! I want to spend the next three days telling you more about each one.  So today, we'll look at #1:

This is quite simple:  for every $60 you spend (before tax and shipping is added to the total) (in one order - you can't combine orders), you will earn one of the fabulous Sale-A-Bration items that you can find in the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.

I have to say that this is one of the best Sale-A-Bration brochures I've seen in a few years. There is so much to choose from. And it is so easy to spend $60, too!  Have you really looked at the Occasions Catalogue???  Easy peasy!!

This might be a good time to mention that any customer of mine who earns at least 1 Sale-A-Bration item before Mar. 31, 2015 will be eligible to attend my exclusive Sale-A-Bration Celebration in April, where there are fabulous prizes, food, games and great make and takes!

Click on the links below to take you to my On-Line Store, where you can read about, look at, and purchase if you wish, the products used to make this card today!
