Yesterday was an exciting day at my craft studio! The UPS man brought me this:
Yes, my Annual Catalogue pre-order had finally arrived!!
Here's a step-by-step reveal for you:

What is under all that bubble wrap?
These are all the new In Colours, trending colours that we will be able to use for two years: Dapper Denim*, Emerald Envy*, Flirty Flamingo*, Peekaboo Peach*, and Sweet Sugarplum*!
Playful Palette Designer Series Paper Stack*!
Four new stamp sets: Thoughtful Banners*, Swirly Bird*, Painter's Palette* and Sitting Here*.
New Ruched Ribbon* in Flirty Flamingo and Emerald Envy.
New Affectionately Yours Specialty Designer Series Paper*. Two of the sheets have copper foil on them.
So I got to work right away to make some samples and the first stamp set I chose to use is 'Sitting Here'*.
- I love all the cool pieces to this porch swing set and I had a ball stamping, watercolouring and fussy cutting each piece. This is Whisper White cardstock, but I was able to watercolour on it using an Aqua Painter because the images were very small and so the paper didn't get too wet. I also emptied all the water out of the Aqua painter so the Whisper White could handle it.
- I used the "No line watercolour" technique for the flower pot, but in retrospect, I think I would have stamped it with a darker colour for the outline before watercolouring to match the rest of the images.
- The background Designer Series Paper is from the Affectionately Yours* series. Think Calico for this one. I chose the design in Crumb Cake with the multi-coloured small flowers.
- The cat and the flower pot are mounted on the card with Stampin' Dimensionals.
