It's grandkids' birthday time in our family! We have four grandchildren with birthdays in May and June! It's funny the way that works out, isn't it? Every family seems to have a couple of months that are crazy that way. Kesten and Wyatt's birthdays are at the end of June, one day apart, Cedar's birthday was mid-May, and my youngest grandchild, little Pippa, will be turning 1 in just a few days! One of my priorities at the Craft Crop this past weekend was making a card for Pippa.
I have to share it with you today, because it contains some products that will be retired and no longer available tomorrow!
And why? Because tomorrow, the new 2017-18 Annual Catalogue goes live!!
Are you excited? You should be, because there are so many exciting new products to choose from! Things I haven't been able to share with you yet! So fasten your seatbelt for the big reveal tomorrow morning!
Do you have your copy yet? If not, please let me know that you want one and I'll be sure to get one to you.
Check back here tomorrow morning! I will have an unusual Thursday post, just to catch the unveiling and post the link to the On Line Catalogue for you!
In the meantime, this is your absolute last chance to get what you want from the old Annual Catalogue or Occasions Catalogue!
Take some time to make sure you're not missing something you really wanted. Check these links to see what's retiring and still has some inventory left.
Check out my card for Pippa a little more closely:
- The main images and the bottom sentiment are from the Moon Baby stamp set, which carries over into the new Annual Catalogue! These adorable line images are fun to stamp in Basic Black Archival ink and colour in, here with Watercolour Pencils and a Blender Pen. I used Daffodil Delight, Melon Mambo, Bermuda Bay and Pacific Point, and Calypso Coral to add colour to the baby.
- The background DSP is from a retiring paper stack called Cupcakes and Carousels Designer Series Paper Stack, from the Occasions catalogue. I simply love the designs on this paper. This swirly, cloudy one was perfect for this card. I added a few stars stamped in Bermuda Bay ink, using the star images from the Moon Baby stamp set. Notice how the Brights Enamel Shapes stars fit inside them just perfectly!
- The top sentiment is from a retiring stamp set, Fresh Fruit! Make sure you pick it up today if you want to get it at all.
- The bottom sentiment is paired with one inside that says 'do you know how loved you are?' The best shape for die cutting these out is a retiring set of framelits called Project Life Cards & Labels Framelits, and I'm sorry, but I'm not selling my set off! These have been my go to framelit set for sentiments for three years now and I can't let them go! They fit where so many others don't! If you don't have them yet, and you don't get another thing from the old Annual Catalogue, you should get these framelits! They are worth their weight in gold!
I'll leave you with a video from Stampin' Up! promoting one of the new Suites in the new Annual Catalogue:
