Game On for The Paper Players

game on for the paper players

Today is one of those lovely days when I can enter a challenge with my card, and my go to is always The Paper Players, especially when they have a masculine card challenge, which is my favourite and a kind of forte! I have lots of masculine stamp sets, thanks to this year's Stampin' Up! Annual Catalogue, but one I haven't used yet is Game On, a tribute to games that many men and women alike, enjoy playing!

The Paper Player's Challenge #507 is to create a Masculine Birthday Card. Here's their challenge banner:

My biggest claim to fame on this card is that I used a self-created Brass Embossing Powder by mixing Gold and Copper Stampin' Emboss Powders. This post tells you how I did that. Look closely and see if it looks different than gold to you:

  •  All the images and the sentiment are from the Game On stamp set and are stamped in Versamark ink and embossed with my homemade concoction of brass embossing powder (see above).
  • The images are all fussy cut while I used the Tasteful Labels dies to die cut the sentiment.
  • The background paper is from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper, which is, in turn, mounted on some bronze Brushed Metallic Cardstock from the Aug/Dec Mini Catalogue. The card base is Misty Moonlight cardstock.
  • The embellishments are retired Designer Elements that were just on the Clearance Rack, but I think they sold out over the weekend.

  2. Heather you must be unique or at least a rare breed - there aren't many who love the idea of masculine cards less so consider them their forte!
