Enjoy the Moment for As You See It Challenges

 TGIF! How much does your life change on the weekend? Do you work from home or do you have to work on site? Does the weekend bring a change of scene and activity or is it the same old, same old? Being the owner of my own papercrafting business, I have to remind myself to stop work sometimes and enjoy the moment!

That's the name of the stamp set I used for the new Recipe Challenge at As You See It Challenges that starts this morning. Enjoy the moment seems like a strange name for a stamp set that features a bunch of dried seed pods, unless it means that life is fleeting so enjoy it while you can!! But the Recipe Challenge features a masculine theme and earth tones and this set seemed to fit the bill.

• On a card base of Soft Suede, I added a background of the new Natural Touch Specialty Paper that comes with the Butterfly Bouquet Suite. Even though is has some very minor wood grain texture, I wanted more and embossed it with the Pinewood Planks 3D Embossing Folder, satisfying the embossing folder element of the challenge. I also distressed and sponged the edges a bit. The colours are all appropriately masculine, but would work for any gender, I think.
• The main image is from the Enjoy the Moment stamp set. I stamped it in Early Espresso Ink and coloured it in with Stampin' Blends Combos including: Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Soft Sea Foam, Bermuda Bay. I used the point of the marker tip to create the spatter drops on the Very Vanilla cardstock.
• I die cut the image using the Stitched Rectangles dies (and satisfying the die cut element) and sponged the edges with Soft Suede ink.
• I die cut the backing from Cajun Craze cardstock with the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and also sponged the edges.
• The panels are adhered together and some Braided Linen Trim is tied around the panel to meet the twine requirement.
• The sentiment is from the Enjoy the Moment stamp set. It's also die cut from the Stitched Rectangles dies and the edges also sponged.
• The final touch are three retired black rhinestones in the bottom right corner.
