- The White Wash technique involves embossing the image in white on Crumb Cake cardstock, filling it all in with a wash of Whisper White Craft Ink, and letting it dry, then adding colour to the images with Stampin' Write Markers and a Blender Pen. To see how this technique is done you can watch this video that I posted on Monday:
- I started with the filler or background step of the two step stamping process. I used quite a bit of water on it and after stamping, I used a Water Painter to spread the ink even further and blur the outline of the image a bit more.
- The background was created using the large succulents die for a mask and adding some Shimmery White Embossing Paste to some Basic White Thick cardstock through the die mask.
- The White Wash technique works best on Crumb Cake cardstock for some reason. I embossed the images on the Crumb Cake in White Embossing Powder and then covered them with a runny wash of water and Whisper White craft ink.
- After that wash dries, I added a simple link or dot of colour from a Stampin' Write marker in an area of the image and blend it into the craft ink using a Blender Pen.
- The sentiment is from the Simply Succulents stamp set and is die cut using one of the Potted Succulents dies.
