It's good to be back! I've been MIA for the better part of 2 weeks now which is very unlike me! In fact, it's probably the first time in over 7 years that I've gone so long without posting. I've had an extended stamper's block which is probably just another name for burn out. But those two weeks off were just what I needed, I think and I actually enjoyed myself, creating this new card for the latest As You See It Challenge which just happens to be a gorgeous Colour Challenge, curated by Design Team member LeAnne:
Look at those gorgeous colours! They work so well together! At first I was thinking a Halloween card, but I really don't have any good Halloween sets, so decided, with the silver colour, that I would do a Christmas theme:
- On a Thick Basic White card base, I mounted a Basic White layer that was run through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine twice using one of the Wintery 3D Embossing Folders, embossing half of the layer each time.
- I die cut some Basic White, Silver Foil and Granny Apple Green cardstock using the smaller Christmas Pinecone Die. I pared off some of the design (a different part for each colour) and layered them on the middle of the the Basic White layer with the silver layer on top. I used Glue Dots to attach.
- I added a length of some retired Blackberry Bliss striped ribbon I had left over and then my sentiment label on dimensionals over that.
- The sentiment is from the Merriest Moments stamp set, stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink.
- Some Rhinestone Basic Jewels add some bling to the card.
From now until Nov. 10, you can sign up for the November Paper Pumpkin Kit. I looks adorable with some cute winter treat holders that could be modified to make tags or cards or decor! You're going to have a lot of fun with this kit. To subscribe to Paper Pumpkin for November, click HERE.
It's called the Love Santa collection. You can create 9 large graphic gift tags with it. So cute!
