Welcome to our February NEW AT SU! Blog hop! We are a group of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators from around the world who are Hoppin’ with creative paper crafting ideas to share with you. Today we are featuring the 2022 Jan/Jun Mini Catalogue  products. I'm highlighting the Grassy Grove bundle along with the New Horizons 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper.

This was the first time I've used this diorama technique to make this 3D card, but the Grove Dies that are bundled with the Grassy Grove stamp set just begged for this kind of treatment so I had to give it a try. It is a standard card size back and front, but the sides are accordion folded to allow strips of cardstock between the folds on each side to act as layers for adding elements to the diorama. The background paper is from the New Horizons 6" x 6" Designer Series Paper, quick and easy and perfectly suited for this job.

The deer, both die cuts and stamped image, the deciduous trees and the evergreens that are hard to see here, are from the Grassy Grove stamp set and Grove dies. The front panel is also a die cut from the Grove Dies. You can die cut it from whatever size rectangle of cardstock you choose (as long as it's larger than the die.) The die doesn't die cut the outer edge. My plan was to appear as if you are in the dark deep woods looking towards a sunlit clearing.

The sentiments are from Grassy Grove as well and are stamped on bits of wood grain DSP from the In Good Taste DSP.

The measurements of the main base are 4 1/4" x 10 1/2" scored at each end on the long side a 1/2", 1", 1 1/2", 2" and 2 1/2". You fold on the score lines accordion style as you can see in these photos and attach strips of cardstock between them. Make the cardstock 5 3/8" long, so that the card will fold flat and not buckle when you flatten it. Also the DSP for the back panel should be 4 1/4" x 5 3/8". The front is held together strongly by a double narrow frame of cardstock glued together, 5 1/2" x 4 1/4", with the second largest Stitched Rectangle die cut from the middle.
