This will be a short post as I am deep in the throes of packing and sorting as we are moving in only 8 days time. We're downsizing to a condo in the same area and I'm into the last phases of intense packing.
Team member, Jane, came up with this lovely combo of colours and I thought the best way to showcase them would be using a floral design, so I got out my current favourite florals: Two-Tone Flora, which really reminds me of an old set that I used to love called Stippled Blossoms. Do you remember that one? In fact, if you type in Stippled Blossoms in the search bar, you'll find some projects I did with it.
Take a look at the Colour Challenge Banner. The challenge is called Party Tweet:
Those are really pretty colours together, but also kind of intense, so they need lots of white space to tame them. The dies that go with the Two-Tone Flora have a cool intricate cut 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" panel die that creates a floral lace. I used it after gluing it to a 4 1/8" x 5 3/8" panel of So Saffron cardstock and trimming it around the edges, and then adding to the front of the Thick Basic White cardstock card base.
- I two-stepped stamped four different flowers using the stamps from the set and Gorgeous Grape, Coastal Cabana, and So Saffron ink, then die cut them using the coordinating Two-Tone Flora dies.
- The leaves were stamped in Parakeet Party and die cut as well.
- Everything was arranged on the card front and adhered using glue dots and Stampin' Dimensionals.
- I created a triple finger bow from the White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon and added it to the bouquet.
- The sentiment was embossed on the label using White Embossing Powder and heat set. The sentiment was from the Celebrating You stamp set and the label is die cut with the Heron Dies, both of which are retiring, but the Heron dies are sold out, unfortunately.
- The final touch is the Loose Frosted Dots from the Online Exclusives. They are temporarily unavailable right now.

That is such a lovely cover panel - it adds further elegance and style to that pretty cluster of flowers.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful way to use that panel...and the florals are equally as beautiful! I am impressed that you can stamp at all, in the midst of a move! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteThis is just beautiful Heather - the die plate is so eye-catching and your trio of bright florals make a perfect accent. Good luck with the continued packing/downsizing - I'm sure it's tough but it will be so worth it!
ReplyDeleteHeather - you mastered these colors! That lace die cut is so striking and provides the perfect way to showcase those beautiful flowers!
ReplyDeleteThat die cut is SO pretty and the florals are soft and make a perfect compliment to the background. Thanks for visiting my blog and commenting!
