Welcome to Recipe for Autumn Florals, As You See It Challenge's latest Recipe Challenge, where we give you the ingredients, and you use them to whip up a card or project! This one was cooked up by my team mate Deborah! Let's take a look at the ingredients I had to work with:
What do you think of when you hear the words, " autumn florals"? I think of asters and chrysanthemums in bold oranges and rusts! Also we have a unique element this time: a frame! I found a stamp and die set that gave me both: Lifetime of Love! It had a stamp with some great aster-like flowers and a die that had both a great ovalish frame, but also a floral element on it, too!
Check it out:
- I started with a Pecan Pie card base and added a Whisper White layer over that. My next layer was a Calypso Coral DSP from Beautiful Bokeh DSP.
- I die cut 4 of the oval floral frames from Pumpkin Pie and Pecan Pie cardstock and glued them together with the Pecan Pie layer on top and added this thick frame to the card front as shown.
- I stamped 3 of the flower images shown in Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and coloured them in with Stampin' Blends markers. I die cut them and arranged them inside the frame using glue dots and Stampin' Dimensionals.
- The "Happy" sentiment comes from Layers of Beauty, and was stamped in Tuxedo Black ink again, die cut with Rectangle Stitched Dies.
- I embellished the card with In Colour Flat Pearls in Timid Tiger.

Love that frame, and your florals are just delightful. I think the background paper really sets everything off nicely!
