OnStage 2019 Mini Envelope Album

I wanted to create a kind of mini photo album for when I go to OnStage Local in Vancouver next weekend, so that I would have something to share photos in for  my downline who can't attend, or who signed up too late to register. I searched Pinterest for ideas and tutorials, but they just weren't right for one reason or another. Too small, too large, too much work or too simple. Finally, I just decided to come up with my own design, based on our medium envelopes. My design has 5 Very Vanilla Medium Envelopes joined with the flap of one glued to the back of the next envelope. You can adjust the number of envelopes as long as it's an odd number so that they accordion-fold properly with the backing and the front being in the right place. I based the design on the April OnStage Logo:

It has the Flirty Flamingo background and the leafy design, so the closest DSP that I had for this was the All My Love Designer Series Paper. I added in some Crumb Cake and Lovely Lipstick for coordinating colours.

As I mentioned, the design is based on 5 medium envelopes stuck together using the flaps. This gives you 5 photo pockets, and 9 flat spaces to hold photos as you can see below with the album opened up in the photos below:

This photo shows the five envelopes stuck together, creating the 5 photo pockets and the 5 flat panels for photo displays as well.

This is a closer look at the photo pockets and the five flat panels on the outside of them. The inserts for the pockets are Very Vanilla panels  of 5 1/4" x 4" covered with either a Soft Sea Foam or a Flirty Flamingo panel measuring 5" x 3 3/4". The Detailed Trio Punch was used to add the small punched detail in the front corners and the 1 1/8" Scallop Circle Punch was used to punch out a scallop circle which was scored in half and glued over the edge half-way along the outside edge as shown to make a pull tab.

And these are the four flat panels on the backside. There are only four because the cover is on the back of one of the end envelopes.

Close ups of details on the front panels with the photo pockets and the flat photo panels on the outsides of them, made with the Lovely Flowers Edgelits Dies.

And this one in Lovely Lipstick, embossed with the Layered Leaves Dynamic Embossing Folder.

I made the titled cover from a piece of the thicker poster board in a package of DSP measuring 4 1/2" x 6" and glued it on the back of the last envelope in the chain. I covered it in a piece of the All My Love DSP the same dimension and added the letters die cut with a retired die set called Little Letter Thinlits (along with Little Number Thinlits). There is also some embellishment from the Lovely Flowers Edgelit Dies.

The front cover was a 6" x 6 1/2" piece of the same poster board, scored on the long side at 4 1/2" and 5", after covering it with DSP of the same dimensions on both the front and the back . The corners are rounded using the Detailed Trio Punch. Before adding the DSP though, you want to attach it to the row of envelopes by adding strong adhesive to the flap of the first envelope and  glueing it to the poster board on the outside, centering along the edge.

More of the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits with SAB Foil Sheets

Quick post tonight as I have come through two days of Technique Classes and major back/neck pain that gets worse at the computer, so my time here is limited before I have to move to prevent a migraine. I wanted to use the Basic Black cardstock and the Lovely Lipstick Butterflies I die cut on Wednesday in an actual card to show you.

I used a fairly simple design, mainly because those butterflies take up the whole dang page! The Designer Series Paper behind them is from the All My Love series. The bottom layer of the butterflies is made from the Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets that are part of the Sale-A-Bration reward Grapefruit Grove & Lovely Lipstick Foil Sheets. You can earn them simply by purchasing $60 in one order before tax & shipping.

  • I die cut the Basic Black overlay from Basic Black cardstock backed with  a Multipurpose Adhesive Sheet. It's a little harder to die cut, but so much easier to adhere to the foil that way.
  • The sentiment is from Itty Bitty Birthdays and it's stamped in Lovely Lipstick ink and punched out with the Modern Label Punch. The same shape is punch also from Basic Black cardstock and snipped in half so it can extend over the two ends of the Whisper White.
That is basically all there is to it.

You still have some time to get in on my Suite Shares from the the Occasions Catalogue. What are Suite Shares? With Suite Shares, I offer you a half share of all the paper, ribbon and embellishments that are part of one particular suite in the new Occasions Catalogue. That way you get enough to work with, all the products coordinate, you only choose the suites you really like and you have the option of adding the stamp set and tool bundle to your share and earn Sale-A-Bration rewards and a special treat from me, if you do. The shares themselves are very affordable, so you can afford to do more than one if you would like to.
