Tic Tac Toe for The Paper Players

If today's project looks slightly familiar, it's because it's a different colour version of this card that I created on Tuesday. I wanted to use different colours from the Pals Paper Arts Challenge, because I will be using this card for my Technique Nights this week and we were already doing a card with Tip Top Taupe and Watermelon Wonder. We needed a little variety. I realized, in the process, that this design would fit perfectly with The Paper Player's Tic Tac Toe Challenge #280 this week. It fits the vertical column on the left: Flowers, Die Cuts, and Yellow.

I'll give you a closer look, as the design involves embedding all the little pieces from the Rose Garden Thinlit die back into the frame outline of the rose.

  • The colours I've used for this version are Delightful Dijon for the outline of the rose and Hello Honey and So Saffron for the inner pieces.
  • I used the Delightful Dijon stripes from the  2015-16 In Colour Envelope Paper for the background panel and some Hello Honey Striped Cotton Ribbon behind the oval panels.
  • The Big Shot Die Brush is a very important tool for this project and using the Precision Base Plate when you die cut ensures that the die cuts cleanly through the cardstock, making it easier for the Die Brush to get all the little pieces out.
  • The sentiment is from the Sunburst Sayings Stamp Set and is stamped in Delightful Dijon.
