First Frost Get Well for Freshly Made Sketches

I think I'm in love!! I finally got some time to play with my new products from the up coming 2018 Holiday Catalogue from Stampin' Up! and I found a gorgeous new suite that rivals, in my mind, the Painted Harvest set from last year's Holiday Catalogue. And you know how much I loved that set! This one is called the Frosted Floral Suite* and it's so lovely that my photography cannot begin to do it justice! It consists of the Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper*, the First Frost stamp set* and the Frosted Bouquet Framelits*. The stamp set and dies will also come bundled so that you can save 10% over buying them separately

I made them into a Get Well card for a friend and I used a layout from Freshly Made Sketches latest challenge:

Let's look at all the different bits more closely:

  • On my Tranquil Tide base is a piece of the beautiful Frosted Floral Specialty Designer Series Paper*! What you really can't see well in the photo is the shimmer the two pieces of DSP have. All the designs in the pack have this same feature and it adds up to a stunning set of DSP that you need to have in your stash. Yes, I just gave you permission to buy it. Tell your partner that I said you had to have this!
  • Look at those stamped images! Watercolouring at it's finest! But wait! You can do that with one stamp per image - just one! Then the Frosted Bouquet Framelits* coordinate to die cut them. I also die cut the baby's breath from vellum to add to the airy look of the bouquet.
  • The Tranquil Tide Velvet Ribbon* is also a part of this bundle. It's the same, except for the colour, as the Rich Razzleberry 1/4" Velvet Ribbon in the Annual Catalogue.
  • The circle base that this bouquet is built upon is from the Floral Frames Framelits, die cut in Tranquil Tide.
  • I stamped the flowers and foliage in Tranquil Tide, Mint Macaron, Merry Merlot, Blushing Bride, and Blackberry Bliss ink. I covered them with Wink of Stella to go along with the DSP shimmer.
  • The sentiment is from the Healing Hugs stamp set. The First Frost stamp set* has some lovely sentiments, but nothing that would be suitable for a Get Well card.
