Ever since the Annual Catalogue came out in June, I've admired the Stylish Christmas stamp set and its DistIINKtive qualities, so when I saw The Paper Player's new colour challenge this week, I could see that it was meant for this stamp set:
The other colour that I chose to use is Gold. And here's how it all turned out:
- I'm always pleased with how this particular DistINKtive stamp set performs. The images all come out clearly with just the right shading. Real Red and Shaded Spruce are great colours for these images.
- Once they were stamped on the Whisper White, I also stamped them quickly on some Full Adhesive Post It Notes and fussy cut them to use them for masks, then covered up the already stamped images with them.
- I was then able to stamp the flourish twice in Versamark Ink and heat emboss it in Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder for the third colour in the challenge. I mounted some Gold Foil Strips on each edge of the Whisper White panel and mounted that in turn onto some All Is Bright DSP before adding it all to the card front, centering the panels.
- Some Gold metallic pearls served as the centers for the poinsettia. The sentiment, from the Stylish Christmas stamp set (Don't you love the font?)was also stamped in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with Gold Stampin' Emboss Powder. That plain white panel was mounted with Dimensionals onto the card front.
